This is just freekin' stunning!! STUNNING, I say.
The Rays have the BEST record in baseball (at the moment, at least). They are the only team in baseball history, except one other I can't remember, to go from the WORST record in baseball the previous year to the best record up till Memorial Day.
Unbelievable!!
We have tickets to about 10 more games or so, I would guess. It's maybe a bit early for World Series tickets, but stranger things have happened!!
GO RAYS!!!!!!!!!!

The Rays keep kicking ass. We enjoyed a great game today that we won with a homer in the bottom of the 10th inning over the White Sox. We're off to Boston again, apparently, to kick there asses some more!
We officially took the "devil" out of the name and that was all it took to get us winning!!
GO TAMPA BAY RAYS!!!!!!!

June 30th and the Rays are a half game up on the Red Sox. And they have the best record in baseball. I find that to be almost unbelievable.
It should be quite a series the next three days with the BoSox in town. We are headed over for the game tomorrow night. I have always wanted to see Wakefield pitch.

The Rays have taken the first two games from Boston and continue in 1st place, 2.5 games ahead of Boston. They still have the best record in baseball.
This is UNFUCKING believable!!

We went last night and it was an excellent game. For the first time I witnessed a Tampa crowd that was totally into a baseball game. What I found most interesting is that it was a well pitched game by both teams. Garza was throwing the ball easily in the mid 90's for the Rays. And Wakefield was equally successful for the BoSox tossing it up there in the mid 60's. The huge disparity in velocity was amazing. One small criticism. That is the most God awful turf I have ever seen in my life. It is a visual nightmare. I think it is the only artificial turf I have ever seen that looks like it has crab grass and dead spots!

In a stunning game that lasted almost 4 hours the Rays overcame a 4 - 1 deficit in the 7th inning scoring 6 runs then holding off the Red Sox to take game three 7-6! We swept the Bosox again!!
WWEEEHHAAAWWW!!!!

An excellent 3 game series for the Rays. We had the chance to see them play Sunday in Yankee Stadium and then again Tuesday back home against the Sox. Their pitching is very impressive. David Price pitched 5 innings in the Sunday loss and he is going to be a stud for years to come.
Baseball's feel-good story gets even better Tampa Bay wins two of three against Red Sox, extends AL East lead

I guess I better post this for Dr. Bob in his absence.
Rays Clinch! Rays Clinch! Rays Clinch.
The Rays are now officially Eastern Division Champs after the BoSox loss late last night.
This comes after 10 straight years averaging 97 losses and finishing last for 9 of those years.
I would say it is the most improbable turn around in the history of professional sports. Bring on the Twinkies or the ChiSox.

Congrats to the Rays, its a great story for this baseball season. Hopefully they will fare better than the Marlins did after they won it a few years back.

Rays Clinch! Rays Clinch! Rays Clinch. We just got back a little bit ago from picking our games for the upcoming playoffs and World Series. While only the first two home games for the division championship are a sure thing, I also got dibbs on game 7 of the World Series, should that happen. Cool!! .............Bob

If they win that they come back on Tuesday and have a one game playoff with the Twinkies. I like to see the Sox and Twinkies burn their pitching while the Rays are rested for Thursday night.

First pitch is at 2:35 this afternoon at the Trop for the Rays first ever playoff appearance.
I think Dr. Bob should send us live updates throughout the game.

I should get a blackberry so I could do that! We were at the game and a great one it was! Watching Longoria hit 2 homes runs on the first pitch of each at bat was amazing. The electricity in the air was unlike any other baseball game I've been to. The house was full, to say the least! If this series goes the distance, we'll be at the last game Wednesday (I think that's the date). If they win the division, we have a couple of tickets for the league championship. If they win that, we have tickets for games 6 and 7 of the World Series. That's a long shot, but my dream is for it to go down to the wire in game 7 and be there to watch it!! ..............Bob

Well I am hoping for a LA freeway series. The Dodgers are up 2 game to zip on the Cubbies and are beating them to death with the long ball. The Angels need to pull their heads out of their ass and play like they did to win 100 games.
Would love to go to a playoff game but both the teams out my way suck.

Steinbrenner Sr. is too busy drooling down his chin to care these days, but Steinbrenner Jr. would care. Cashman (the GM) is just lucky to still have a job at this point.

Davis is stuck in the 1970's. He's taken a great franchise and turned it into the laughing stock of the NFL. Joe
