I've heard they're importing UAW members from Ohio to ensure full city-wide coverage.

Teamsters would be better, but they are difficult to find these days.

At one point, I would've suggested looking for Teamsters underneath the old Giants Stadium in NJ, but I've recently heard that potential spot has been relocated.

Another false lead. Much of Detroit has been torn down and there is still no sign of him there, but in the meantime Giants Stadium is as good a place as any.

Detroit in 5 or Giants in 6 or 7 I should probably explain this. Detroit has their lineup set up properly. Which means that Verlander and Fister will have to play under NL rules and bat. Verlander especially, gets stronger as the game goes on. If he has to get pulled for a pinch hitter late in the game, it could neutralize that advantage. Detroit needs to have a reasonable lead going into the late innings to get the most out of Verlander in game 1. Detroit has some rust and all the momentum from the NY series is gone. They have to build that back, SF has it and while their rotation isnt optimized, their bats are primed, Also, the set up and closing status of the Detroit bull pen is still in question. All that being said, IF Detroit can win one in SF, they can go into Detroit with enough advantage to sweep the 3 games there, especially since that could set up Verlander pitching (a deciding) game 5 in Detroit under AL rules. If SF can get to Verlander and Fister early in their games in SF, there is no way Detroit will be able rebound. The other question is whether Baumgartner (scheduled for game 2) can shake off his post season play so far. That may be the key for SF winning both at home. If SF can win games 1 and 2 in SF, the series is theirs, If Detroit can steal one there its theirs.

You're right -- they're rusty. I expect the Tigers to lose the first *two* games, then come roaring back (pun intended) and win the next four in a row. So, Detroit in 6.

My question is, which Barry Zito will show up tonight.? The one that pitched Friday or the one that gives up 5 or 6 walks and 3 or4 runs right away?

Just worry about the hitters who scored 9 runs the other night showing up.

No green and yellow here.
After the NYY series I am totally surprised at the Tigers offense or shall we say no offense.
I knew the Giants had a good team but not this good. I don't think you will see many brooms on TV Sunday night but I know they will be out in SF.

I had hoped that the magic of my public dismissal of the team on FB would once again translate into a rebound on their part. No such luck... I had one more rant over there this morning, but its more like a resigned and pathetic plea. I have nothing left in the anger department to throwout there.
Everyone should bring brooms to the park this evening to clear out the debris, and then sit back to allow winter to descend on the place.
Joe... for Sandovar being such a "fat fuck" he sure can move that arm fast to grab those line drives...

Yeah he does have a cannon for an arm.
I never liked him since he first came up. Very immature and I don't think the elevator leaves the first floor.
If I could be the Giants GM for 15 minutes I would trade him off to some shit city he could play in. Miami would be a good place,
