Another of A-Rod's pick-up lines.

... are you kidding, you think ARod made that up? have you ever watched Valverde exit the bullpen?

No, but I've seen him leave a few games before the inning was over.

I see that ARod AND Granderson are benched for tonight's game, that's a combined 6 for 52 post season batting sitting out ... Girardi must be getting serious about winning And also for game 4. Something is up. No way should either of them be on the bench tonight. I think the Yankees are looking for a good excuse to dump some payroll next year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grabbed my curling broom and yelling sweep! I beg the forgiveness of the baseball gods for my doubts of this team during the regular season.

A-Rod is consoling himself by hitting on the stewardess during his flight back to NYC

The talk around the Tiger fans social networks.. is Detroit pitching that good? or did the Yankee hitters just make them look genius?
No doubt Coke was the big positive surprise in this series, but they need to be able to put Benoit and Valverde into the game with confidence, and right now that is job one until the World Series starts.
BTW- Tigers/Cardinals 7 games (sorry Joe, I dont see the Giants coming back)

Yanks hit reasonably well during the season, their hitters just took a simultaneous massive shit during the post-season. While I'm more of a Mets fan, I do get to watch quite a few Yanks games during the regular season, and my observations are: (1) A-Rod has a long history of freezing up during the post-season, so it's no big surprise; (2) Yanks offense is too dependent on sitting back and waiting for the 3-run homer, Earl Weaver-style; they don't know how to manufacture runs, which is what you need to do when your power hitters slump

Giants win to fight another day. I really don't think they can win 2 at home, but I could be wrong.

The Giants force a game 7. Looks like it's up to Matt Cain to get the win. this does leave a big Questions in the Giants pitching rotation should they go to the WS. Who will start and who will be the fourth pitcher? Lincecum has been sent to the bullpen along with Bumgardner so that leave Zito, Vogelsong and Cain.

I am ready to go Joe.. you/me, mano a mano, Giants vs Tigers, which team has the most cynical fan?
Detroit has had the luxury of sitting back, healing, resetting the pitching rotation, and in general, losing their edge just like they did on '06

I am getting to old for the mano a mano shit. But I will take you on beer for beer. ;D The only game that a long lay off doesn;t really hurt is football. 7 days of for baseball you almost need spring training to get going again.

Tigers in 7. Reasoning: After a thorough scouring of the roster, I have determined that The Giants have more ex-Mets on their team. Whichever team with the most ex-Mets will lose.

Have you factored in that Valverde and Benoit have been playing like they are currently Mets? or Astros for that matter.

Doesn't count. You had to have actually worn the uniform at some point.

Which reminds me. Halloween is approaching, need to reserve a Yankees uniform so I can sit around in the living room and watch the World Series in costume... and my own ARod will probably get benched too.

But you have to admit, after the auto industry bailout, it would be somewhat ironic if a Detroit victory celebration resulted in the destruction of cars parked on the city's streets.
