Experince in pressure games goes to the Yankees. Both pitchers are even. It will be won by the players with the most playoff experience.

D'Backs take the Brewers to game 5 and the Cardinals take the Phillies to 5. Good baseball.

That squirrel did it right. Dont waste your time running around the outfield where the camera coverage is poor, do it at home plate where there is every angle set up for the tight shots and the super slo-mo. I have to wonder if it's agent set that up, look for a TV commercial contract by the weekend.

The stadium security there is poor. In The Bronx, the cops would've been all over that squirrel -- wrestled him to the ground and handcuffed him. Little, tiny handcuffs.

Congrats, Gordon -- enjoy the ALCS! If the game was to be played in Detriot I would say they had a better than 70% chance of winning. Being in The Bronx I give them a less than 20% chance. Did you get your 20% worth, Joseph?

It was sweet. I enjoy watching the Yankees lose, and I offer my services to them as A-Rod's batting replacement, I can do the equivalent, and I will do it for only $1 million/year.
Probably the best thing about this team is that the core of the team is all signed up for next year or do not have free agent status. Of the stars on the team, pitchers Valverde and Porcello are in option years. Free Agents- Outfielders Guillen (no loss if he goes, that $12mill that can be better spent) and Ordonez (near retirement and talking about it), and infielders infielders Santiago and Betemit.
The biggest blow would be if Valverde decides to not exercise his option. Him going free agent would hurt.
Beyond that, Scherzer and Coke are in arbitration years, and they will be looking for a bit more than the sub $1 million that they are getting, everyone is signed or are first year players who will be looking for (and probably getting) more next year. Jackson, Fister, Avila, are all making $400K this year.
I will stand by my earlier prediction Detroit in 7

Denice is pulling for the Tigers but I think the Rangers have the upper hand with home fields and hitting. I will be happy with either team.
Games 5 in the NLDS will both be interesting tonight. The D'Backs just won't go away (just ask the Giants) and the Cardinals are playing real good ball right now.

WOW St louis/Milwaukee in the NL... that was probably the last combination I would have expected. Detroit versus either of those would be a fun series, and a Detroit/St Louis rematch would best of all. HATE the Cardinals... but give them credit, they've been play a month's worth of elimination games and have come through it.
This past week of baseball, starting with the last day of the regular season through last night, will have to go down as one of the best in baseball history for cliff hanger excitement.
Lets go to the Salary Scoreboard
NY Yanks $250M OUT Phillies $172M OUT BoSox $161M OUT OUT OUT LA Angels $138M Never made it ChiSox $128M HA Cubbies $125M Sad Mets $118M Never made it Giants $118M Hung in there Twins $112M PFFT! As a Mets fan, I was glad to see the Phils lose, but sorry to see the Brewers win (earlier this season, the Mets sent that dirtbag K-Rod to Milwaukee).

I have to laugh.
After Tex crying all year (well, the summer, anyway) about how Texas has had such a fucking drought, NOW during the ALCS they finally have TWO friggin' rain delays!!!
Seriously?
SERIOUSLY?

Rainout... I too question the purported drought in Texas. From what Ive seen they have plenty of rain.
BTW- Swollen Ryan.. saw him last night and I would not have recognized him with the intro from the announcers. Judging from his waistline, life has been good.
Tigers injuries- Delmon Young out, Magglio Ordonez out, Texas by 6 may be generous Joe. They have to win game 2 to have a chance.

I want the Brewers to win. Pujols's constant self congratulating attitude is a put off. So much for sportsmanship, he should be running the bases instead of celebrating while the ball is in play. Arrogant I tell you arrogant!
