I figure somone would have already mentioned it so maybe we didn't do it this year but did anyone ask Ed about doing a WWW group rate again this year for WWW Winter?
We might be able to make it after all and just am looking into rates now.
Just wondering...

It'll be a bummer you guys aren't there!
I did pose the question of him when I emailed him about getting a quote. I'll see what he says. If he says that he has a rate for us, I'll let everyone know.

We will miss you guys there in December.
I had Ed quote mine back in March and Denny came up cheaper this year by about $50.00 per person.

Well I just got a quote from Ed for $130 a night for Garden view prude. He said he didn't have a group rate this year. Maybe that is why Denny is cheaper this time. I will have free night from taking my cruise so the total will end up about the same as last year even with this higher rate.

I've actually only heard back from Denny so far. It wasn't a bad rate. I might have to go with it since it's the only one I got.

Colleen Trying to lock down my November trip, and my email to Ed Hubbard on Monday has gone unanswered. I know he is occupied with other projects, but I thought that this was only affecting his group services. I may have to reconsider my allegiance.

I've actually only heard back from Denny so far. It wasn't a bad rate. I might have to go with it since it's the only one I got. Colleen Do tell! Do tell! We can talk #s here! I know Chris - I just use my other email address for my quotes as my main one has all the online coupon codes etc that I shop with and gets so full. Anyway, I couldn't remember exactly and had to log onto my other account while logged on here to do it - a lot of time I read stuff here in AM and I really don't have time for all this. Anyway, I STILL have not heard back from Ed - I was waiting for him too but Denny's rates aren't bad I don't think. I've got to break it down too - (the HORROR of having to do math... ) Anyway, GVN is $150.10 OVN is $214.70 GVP is $129.20 OVP is $139.65 with 5 nights I qualify for $100 Hedonistic Delights. We need to book something soon if we're going so we'll probably go with Denny unless I hear back from Ed soon. Colleen Mike - you and Tammi will be missed - I was hoping that you two would make it - however, it's not out of the question that we might head down your way sometime soon - I've been holding off as we're not in position just yet but we want to talk to you about living down there some more. I'm pretty surprised we're actually making it this year and it's still not in stone yet but I think we're going. I keep getting Randy to add a day here and there by waiting so that's what I'm doing... ;D ;D

Just FYI--The quote I rec'd for T-day week (last spring) from Go Classy for GVP (we booked 9 nights under the Butt Crack Tours rate) was $128.33/night/person.
I like working with Lance at Go Classy, and with Ed at Travel Hub and with Denny P. I've rec'd excellent service and rates from each of them, but I always go with the cheapest for the time I'm traveling--which varies.

That seems pretty comparable to Denny's $129.20 for the same category.
We don't care for booking prude side if we can help it as I have more walking to do that way and with my bad ankle, it's a problem so we usually book GVN.
I've used Dan Hill, DennyP, Ed Hubbard and I have called Go Classy before but haven't contacted them for this trip.
Also, I just got an email from Superclubs with some promotion of booking 4 nights or more and getting 1 free for our dates, I've asked Denny about this promotion and if it's available to WWW Winter people.

Ok, I got a quote from Go Classy and they gave me the same info Denny did for our room category.
Denny informed me that I was not eligible for the group rate if we didn't book 4 nights or more. We had (or are going to) ch-ch-change our dates as I had Randy's schedule wrong (we hadn't gotten it yet) at his new job. He then told me he'd have to "re-quote" me for the "correct days" and that the "group rate is almost sold out". (which Lance also said in his quote I received today). I feel a bit like I'm getting the run around but maybe I'm being too sensitive and it's just a trip so I should just book already and shut up (or maybe he saw that I posted the rates here and got pissed off at me).
Anyway, I guess we'll book sometime soon - Ed is still WAY MIA - never heard from him.

Am I foolish to think that the TAs we all use don't usually bother reading this board? Chris, I understand the literal meaning of your question, but not your implication. Do you think it would be a bad thing if they read it? Personally, I think it is good for us, as customers. They would know that we are comparison shopping, and thus will compete harder with each other. It's like Travelocity for Hedo trips.......Jake

The continuing saga of our trip.... Ok, so this AM I emailed Denny and asked him to re-quote me for the proper days (I felt that since I'd asked him in the first place I should go with him) and told him if the quote was the same as the last one I would call him today to book. I got the quote and it was over $200 more EACH - $400 for the trip ($954.75 per person). At that point I was rather annoyed (since he books thru Go Classy for one thing and the rate had magically gone up for me) I called Lance at Go Classy and booked and paid for our trip at THE SAME PRICE Denny had quoted me originally for the same "new" dates that he had re-quoted me ($750 per person). (I had the "new" dates when I'd asked Lance for the quote over the weekend since we knew what Randy's new schedule would be - which I bothered to explain to Denny that Randy has started a new job and we didn't even think we were going this year - I wanted him to know that I wasn't purposely trying to waste his time by asking him for a quote and ch-ch-changing it). I suppose that I could have emailed Denny and told him I had the same rate he'd originally quoted me from Go Classy as his quote says, "if you get a lower rate from elsewhere, let me know" but by then I was just done with the whole thing, a bit annoyed and that would have been MORE back and forth, etc., ETC.... that I reallly didn't have the time for at this point, I want to get our arrangements finalized and done. So that's that - we'll see ya at the ZOO (or those of you who will be there) on the 4th of December for 5 nights.... Colleen

Colleen, my experience has been pretty much the same as yours. I've used Go Classy for years. A few times I got a rate from Denny, but could always get a better rate booking direct with Go Classy. Maybe it's cuz we've booked with them so much and I know some of the folks there . . . then again, who knows.
My last trip I got a REALLY good rate that was nearly $50 per person PER NIGHT less than Denny's quote, but it was through a group that had bought out many rooms and thus the good rate. I also found out that I was not eligible for any of those special deals where you get certain amounts off for spa treatments, etc. . . . I forget what they call it. Hence, next time I book I'm going to ask for the lowest rate and forget the "special" super dollars or what-ever they are. I think the typical rates you are paying include these "extra" thingies that I just ain't interested in. Might not work, but I'll try anyway.
Except for one trip during the Buttcrack tour a couple of years ago, I've always paid between $130 and $150 or so a night GVN. But, I can usually find a group rate with the lower prices.

I've only had once that Denny's rate has been good though it was good this time until he "requoted" me (and it did include the $100 Hedonistic Delights credit too). I haven't ever booked directly with Go Classy - when we first started going Dan Hill would always beat them and then we had Denny and then Ed. They had our information though in the system I guess because Dan and Denny work for them. I know when we first started going in 2000 the paperwork we got from Dan Hill was from Go Classy and I think it was when Denny booked for us too.

I booked directly through Go Classy for 3 trips (01-03) and through Ed for the last three (04-07) and I usually pay $115- $125 pppn single share, but I did ROH every trip after the first one and usually ended up on the nude side anyway.
I have had Denny give me a quote for every other trip and I just go with the cheapest - I am not a haggler.
I am still financially recovering from the Alaskan Cruise last week - so I may wait until October/November to decide if I can afford a Hedo trip this year. I am going to go ahead and take the days off from work just to be safe and see what happens.

Royal Caribbean - I liked seeing Alaska, but I still prefer a beach chair in the sand with a fruity drink over being trapped on a floating buffet with so many people. I missed my Charlie omlettes and grilled ham and cheese and fries.
I didn't drink at all which might have something to do with it ! =) I did love Seattle though - we spent time there before and after the cruise.
