Where is Kitty Carlisle when you need her? She could certainly get to the bottom of " Which Lew is who?"
And by the way, what is the TNMC record for most drifts in a thread?

And by the way, what is the TNMC record for most drifts in a thread? Not sure, but there does seem to be a principle at work on this board that if a thread drifts far enough it will eventually go full circle and return to the original subject. Simon

Let get one thing clear I am not out on disability or comp I retired after 22 years if I did not get hurt on 911 I would still be working and instead of taking disability or comp I just took my retirement. Lew Lew, welcome to the nut house, keep up the good work (making the grammer hawks smile) anyhoo, in trying to decipher your post you say you opt for retirement. If you are disabled, you may be entitled to medical social security. Ya Mon, bring them all on good, bad, or indifferent. psssst..... Lew, being a registered member will let you post April Fools anytime of the year. BTW, The only harm that was done was to Denny and it appears you apologized.

DT the reason I took retirement over social security or any type of disability these people see you do the smallest infraction even putting the garbage out. They have people to investigate who needs any problems they even try to film people.I could have worked a desk no interest doing that. I heard many stories of this happening and for all who are curious I have a permanently broken 9th rib with damaged cartilage which can not be fixed its called a non union of the 9th rib and 5 herniated disc's in my back and anyone who has met me at Hedo can see I am disabled. I do have to use a wheel chair at the airport especially Mobay walk is just to long. Lew Ya Mon, bring them all on good, bad, or indifferent. psssst..... If I had taken a left, I may have ended up in bed with Hillary. That's a frightening thought even if you are a democrat.

I am about to spew some rhetoric concerning apologies. Some people think an apology corrects all wrongs and excuses the necessity to think in the first place. Michael Vick..."I am so sorry". .....yea you are sorry you were caught. Numerous other examples. Apologies are necessary, but the deed and damage was done. Comment....."only Denny was harmed". First question, how do you know? Second question. Does an apology exonerate the deed?
American public seems tolove a repentant soul. I wish the soul would have thought before repentance became necessary. That goes for Lew too.

Well, maybe if Hillary was on her knees sucking her husbands dick he would not have needed Monica. Or maybe he just couldnt stand her crying no more. Her face is only a face a mother could love.

When I was growing up an apology was an apology. A wrong was done and the apology did not erase that wrong but was intended as a sincere expression of contrition.
In today's screwed up world, the offending party is word smithing the apology to the nth degree for their own benefit with zero remorse. And in most cases it rings very hollow.

For what it's worth Barry/Bookie,
If someone apologizes for something and they are sincere, i always feel that's more than i can expect out of most people. I've been on this board for a year or two, and could probably count on the fingers of one hand the number of times i've seen anyone truly apologize for something they did and later regretted it. I think i was at least a couple of them. As far as i'm concerned, it takes a helluva person to be able to stand and say, "ya know what? what i did was wrong. I can't fix it now, but i at least recognize that what i did wasn't good".
Barry and Iggy both like to beat on chuck all the time, and i think noone really cares because apparently he's an asshole on an ongoing basis rather than a single screw-up. That's fair. If someone(myself included) screws up, and is man enough to own up to it, I think there's "grace" here and it's accepted like a man.
Either way, it isn't my fight but i can only hope that in the end, i'm offered the same amount of grace and forgiveness that i was willing to give.
Mike(alright, dont take away my "man"card for that one please)

From what I know from these boards, what Chuck did to Iggy was laugh at his friend while she was singing in the Piano Bar. Years and years ago. Yes, he is a blowhard, but a harmless blowhard, an old retired guy with nothing better to do than respond to virtually every post on Denny's, but really NOT offensive on Denny's board. Iggy's fascination with him, I think, borders on stalking or something, and I don't know about you guys, but has lowered my opinion of Iggy (how could it not - for those that don't know him in person, ALL you see of him is fucking with Chuck - a pretty one-dimentional guy - boring).

But he's old, that's his domain - to spew useless information to whoever will listen. Iggy should have more dimension to his life, one would think. Iggy's fascination with him, I think, borders on stalking or something, and I don't know about you guys, but has lowered my opinion of Iggy (how could it not - for those that don't know him in person, ALL you see of him is fucking with Chuck - a pretty one-dimentional guy - boring).
Maybe now we'll get to see him make fun of Lew too. Oh, fun!

Actually Mike, I gave up on Chuck long ago. Every once in a while I may have a knee jerk jab, but that's about it.
I also haven't really gotten into Lew though I do feel like it. I think the guys jab was an honest attempt to piss on single guys. You may read it differently, but that is your prerogative. I noted that his apology reminded me of Cynthia Mckinney's...."I am sorry it happen". I also note he didn't say I'm sorry to all those single guys and gals who might have been upset. If Denny, who is wired into Superclubs, went scrambling to find out the truth, what do you think the singles thought.
Your mileage may vary.

Actually Guest, if i understand correctly. Not only did Chuck make fun of one of Iggy's friends, but many, MANY others here and on Denny's have actually been insulted by his actions when he meets them at hedo. I don't worry about it. As i said, he's an ONGOING asshole from what i take from everyone. Can't say i blame Iggy for that.
Barry, that makes sense. Not being single perhaps i didn't look at that take on it. I could see where that would definately hit a sensitive nerve as it did seem to be a backhanded jab at single men.
