Fuck, Fuck, Fuck, FUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. We lost Buster Posey for the season on a play at home plate last night in the top of the 11th inning. On what was a clean play Posey took a blow up shot from Florida Marlins Scott Cousins at home plate. His left foot got caught in the dirt and you could see from the play on TV that he was hurt bad. Fuck, now we have a back up catcher that can't hit and a 29 year old Crash Davis as his back up. Just really fucking great. I think they should call Benji Molina back since he is still a free agent and at least sign him as a back up. This could just have turned into a really long season. The video on this play is in the middle of the page. we watched it happen on TV and both Denice and I just stared at each other after he got hurt. POSEY

I feel your pain Joe... and after watching that video, I feel Posey's pain too.
That was a pretty blatant charge by Cousins into Posey. Posey was fully inside the lines and the plate was clearly available to Cousins. Cousins also clearly, dropped his shoulder into Posey, which moved him away from the plate instead of into the plate. No way that is a clean play.

That's baseball. I remember when Pete Rose used to blow up catchers on daily bases just for the hell of it.

We just got home from a Giants game but I am a little pissed tonight. As I mentioned before they don't sell beer in the stands here, you have to get up and get it. Well we had great seat tonight and I always try to get the end seats in a row, but we had the just turned 21 group, that figures that we can drink it faster than they can make it, in our row tonight and they must have gotten up 10 times each to get beers. All we did is stand up to let someone by for 9 innings. Pissed me off you miss half the fucking game.
I don't know what the big deal is about selling beer in the stands here in CA, but I wish they would just let them do it.

Cleveland is showing that their early season run was a flash. TIGERS tied for first! yeah mon!
BTW- anyone notice the parity right now? only one team out of the 30 is at .600 , the average winning percentage of the division leaders is .569, and except for the Cubs and the Astros, no one is more than 10 games out.

We just watch baseball hsitory made tonight at AT&T Park. Gianst pitcher Madison Baumgardner opened the game by giving up 9 consecutive hits to star a game with out an out. Giant got beat by the Twins 9-2.
That was a waste of $135.00 bucks fo tickets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111111

Im reading 8 hits, the last time that happened with all 8 scoring was 1990 by the Yankees against the Orioles. It was a first for the Giants, so that has to be worth the price of admission Joe, you saw history!
Most amazing to me is that Baumgartner only threw 25 pitches... sounds like he'd look better pitching batting practice.

Off field the Dodgers are '03 Tigers, can they be the worst run franchise in modern baseball? Its amazing they do as well as they do on field given the circumstances.

Mets gave the Tigers a spanking last night with 2 gland slams, hoping they can bounce back tonight to tie up the series.
BTW- Tigers bats are looking good right now, they have 5 of the top 13 hitters (BA) in the AL for the year (all over 300), and the 2-3-and 4 batters for BA for the month of June (all over 380).. should merit some All-Star respect.

Yes they did, but I only managed to watch the top of the first when the Mets scored 4 runs, I got nauseous and had to ch-ch-change the channel. Even though the Tigers scored 9, they still lost by a touchdown. Two game total Mets 30 Detroit 13... Im sure that the Mets are booking their hotel rooms to try to force the schedule makers into a return trip to Detroit for next year.
Just checked... Mets 52 runs in the last 4 games WOW

Mets are coming to AT&T July 8-10. I bet they don't get 10 runs total in that series. Of course neither will the Giants.
Also we are headed to Detroit this Friday to Sunday. Should be a good series.

Verlander did his magic on the Mets last night, thank god. Lucky for you Joe, the Giants wont have the pleasure of facing him, he's the one true pitching star that Detroit has.

Detroit will see Zito, Baumgardner and Vogelsong. After the lost to the Cubs last night in the 13th I think they will be in the dumps this weekend. Can't hit shit and there seems to be no end in sight.
Edited to add. I have the hot dogs ready to for the BBQ tonight and the outside frig at the BBQ is full of beer. We have some hot weather coming in today so I am ready to go. If anyone wants to stop by let me know.
