I cannot believe the Rays pulled the afternoon game tomorrow. Looks like streaming video on the computer at work for me. That is unless the game is excellent and then it is a 45 second drive to the house to watch the rest of it on the big screen. Not only Wednesday, but Thursday too!! I've got tickets for the game Thursday, which starts at the weird time of 2:37PM or something like that. WTF?? I hope lot'sa folks call in sick! ...........Bob

The odd time is pretty common anymore. It used to be 5 minutes after the hour or half-hour for TV ads, but now its 7 minutes for TV ads.

We got lucky. The Giants play Thursday evening at 6:37PDT. I will get to watch maybe an inning then it's back to the fucking vineyard to pick grapes.
I could of had tickets for either Thursday or Fridays game, but those fucking little bastards got in my way.

Interesting start to the playoffs. In the Al both of the road teams have a 2-0 lead in the series. The Yankees sticking it the Twins as they always do in the playoffs. The Rays are taking a beating from the Rangers and looks like the Ranger can wrap this one up at home on Sunday. In the NL the Phillies lead the Reds1-0 and Tim Lincecum struck out 14 last night as the Giants lead the Braves 1-0. Going to be a good weekend for baseball.

I didnt see either of the ALDS series starting out this way. The Twins must have peaked too soon and seem to have gone from hot to cold, and it might help the Rays if they show up for the game.

The way the Yanks have been playing down the stretch, I doubt they'll make it beyond the first round, regardless of whether they win the division or are a Wild Card team. I'm feeling better about not placing any money on this, but I still don't think they'll be able to beat Texas. Do you think Fox will cringe if there's a Phillies-Rangers World Series?

Not as much as a Reds-Rangers series, the Phillies are at least NE corridor and may pull in a few viewers from DC to Boston.

I'd like to see the Reds in it because I'd like to see how Votto plays, but I think the Phils' post-season experience will give them the edge in this series.

Agreed. Given recent experience, that probably means that the Reds will win

Also, I hope the Reds win because it might finally make some of the players on the Phils shut up once and for all -- they talk a little too much smack, as far as I'm concerned.

The Rays SUCK!! I was at the game yesterday and I've never seen 9 guys play such poor baseball in my life!! Little Leaguers do better! They were just pitiful!! And no energy. No one on the Rays team seemed to give a shit what happened. The last two games they've played have been simply miserable to watch. The sad thing is, several of their best players are going to be free agents, so barring a miracle, that game yesterday was the end of an era at home. .............Bob

I have faith that Garza and Davis will get us another shot at Lee in the dome. It is going to be tough but I do believe they can make it happen.

Well, I have to believe that the folks in the Commissioners office and at Turner are relieved that at least one series wont go the minimum of 3 games. Really bad for revenues and I doubt that MLB would have wanted baseball to disappear completely from Sunday to Friday.

The weather in NYC this weekend is gorgeous -- too bad at least one game at Yankee Stadium couldn't be played during the day. I guess MLB doesn't want to compete with either college or NFL football for viewers.

To bad Aroldis Chapman didn't get the support he needed from the defense last night, he's going to be an interesting player to watch over the coming years as he consistently can throw over 100m.p.h.
My feeling is it's going to be the Yankees and the Giants in the World Series.

Well the Giants sucked last night. Pissed me off, bad fielding and bad relief pitching. I expect Atlanta to win both at home and send the Giant packing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Yankee's are in the ALCS again. Will have to wait to see who joins them.
Should have the Phillies in soon and most likely the Braves.

Garza & Davis did their jobs and got the Rays back to even with the Rangers. Lee is going to be tough but I feel good about our chances on Tuesday night with Price on the mound

Exciting comeback by the Jints, Koe -- but I guess the MVP for the game has to go to Atlanta's 2B player. Dare we even think SF vs. Phils for NLCS?

That poor bastard. 3 fucking errors in one game and one of them causes you a 2 to 1 lead in the series. I hope he doesn't have any guns at home, he may just blow his brans out tonight!!!!
I think if I was the Braves I wouldput him under 24 hour protection not only from the fans but from himself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Reds haven't played this bad since they were slipping and sliding in Marge Schott's St. Bernards dog piles that plagued left and center field back in the 90's.

Phils win the division -- didn't think the Reds would get swept. Their offense started the off-season a bit early.

The Philly-Giant games will be a-m-a-z-i-n-g. BTW -- the Rays manager, Joe Maddon has an uncanny resemblance to Barry Goldwater to me.

Rangers beat the Rays. Amazing that no one a home game in that series.
Rangers-Yankees. Can the new comers beat the Bombers.
My Series Calls.
Yankees in 5 over the Rangers
Phillies in 6 over the Giants ( I know, I know)

I think the Rangers will take the pennant because the Yanks lost momentum due to the long layoff they had.
