Thats when Tony started paying attention to Pussies actions and had Paulie take him for a steam to see if he was wearing a wire. That sounds about right. I remember Paulie saying something to Pussy like "Let's go for a schvitz" and Pussy being reluctant but eventually going. Don't recall what lead up to it, though.

. . .I think Tony, knowing his entire family is gone, kills AJ then kills himself. If you are into the whole "its all been a dream" senario, the show ends with Aid calling out for Christopher, and he is shown typing the final page of his book, and it reads, "The Sopranos" Iggy Very good, Iggy - while all are very plausible, (except for Junior killing himself ), it seems that whatever you *think* is going to happen doesn't. Sometimes there's no follow through from episode to episode with certain storylines. However, I am leaning toward your last thought, in that Tony kills himself in a depressive state, or that AJ snaps, killing everyone in his materialistic household, then goes on to be the new head of the family. . .and Tony isn't even around to be proud. Whoever calls me tonight at 9:00 am is going to get shot.

- I think Bobby gets whacked either playing with a train or buying one, thus the title of this weeks episode, Blue Comet, which was a train that ran in Jersey in the mid 1930's.
- I think Sil gets whacked in front of the bing.
Well, you certainly called these two right on the money. Regardless, it was a good episode and we're really set up now for an exciting finale.

Pretty damn amazing, Iggy. Makes me wonder if you got a bit of an inside scoop somewhere . Interesting that the family is now made out to be nothing but a bunch of buffoons who can't even get a hit right. So how does one save face, and retaliate at the same time? I think AJ will rise to the occasion, albiet too little, too late. You know, it seems too mundane for Tony Soprano to simply get shot, and killed for the finale.

I thought last nights episode was good and I was sitting on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what would happen next. However some parts were a bit predictable. As soon as the Italians were hired I figured they would hit the wrong guy (previews talked about case of mistaken identity). After reading Iggy's post a couple of days ago, as soon as Bobby walked into the train store I knew what was about to happen (Good job Iggy for calling that one). The whole show I was just hoping that they would find Phil. I agree with Sunlover that it would be too mundane for Tony to just get shot. I looked forward to every season of the Sopranos and will hate to see it end.

Pretty damn amazing, Iggy. Makes me wonder if you got a bit of an inside scoop somewhere . That's why I generally stay away from those Sopranos message boards & Web sites -- they tend to give out a little bit *too* much information for my taste some times. While some of the info can enhance the appreciation of some episodes, they also may post a bit too many spoilers.

Here's my ending to the Soprano's next week. Tony turns over to the Feds and rats out Phil and then Tony and his entire family goes into the witness protection program. I say this becasue that FBI agent that was after his ass has been hanging around way to much so he has to have something to do with the ending.(remember Tony gave him some info on activity down at the docks)
I agree they just can't blow Tony away. It wouldn't be right.
Joe (Of couse I didn't expect Seinfeld to end with them all sitting in a jail cell either!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

The title of the epidode pretty much assured me Bobby would get whacked and it would involve trains. I dont read the message boards either. I like coming up with my own conclusions. I like trying to figure out David Chase's hidden messages, like white shoes. Before Johnny Sach died, his wife was wiping of his white shoes. Doc Santoro was wearing white shoes before he got whacked. Gervasi was wearing white shoes when Sil took him out, and Sil was buffing his white shoes before he got offed last night. We all know Pauilie has a closet full of white shoes. Uncle June will kill himself next week. He's depressed from his meds and he's now broke and has to move to a less cushy facility. Iggy

Silvio didn't die. That leads me to beleive that neither will Tony. The writers made sure the audience knew the no family gets touched rule. So you can bank on Meadow or Carmela getting killed. That means Tony goes ballistic. He personally kills the mutha fucking Phil, who I can't stand. Even in real life, I bet you that guy is a peice of shit. I saw that fuck on Regis Philben once and i just want to put a cap in his ass. Sorry to get side tracked. But I think that can't kill of Tony because sooner or later there will be a Sopranos movie Mikey

i totally agree about Phil~he is such a scumbag. isn't he the one that picked up the shooters at the airport? can't wait to see how this plays out tomorrow....could go either way with tony..i loved how he pulled aj outta bed...his son is such a waste....i can't see him stepping up to plate if something happens to his father....

No, he aint steppin up to nothing. he might be steppin off a stool with a noose around his neck but that's it. Hey I am trying to remember. Didn't Tony have to chase down that peice of shit Phil a few seasons ago for money he owed him. In the same breath, didn't that peice of shit also have to get his car fixed by one of Tony's friends and he didn't like it no matter how it was fixed or am I thinking about someone else? Mikey

No matter what happens it's going to be a fast paced hour. They have lots of shit to clean up. Joe. Not really. Chase has left a lot of loose ends dangling with no ending, like the The Russian in the forest and Melfie's rapist. Will the Arabs play a part in the ending? Will Vito Jr. come back from the boot camp Tony paid for? I've come up with more endings than Chase supposedly filmed but here is what I believe will happen. In order for this episode to conclude in an hour, Tony, Paulie and the rest of the crew have to leave the safe house rather quickly, and for that to happen, Phil has to get whacked early in the episode. I think Bennie whacks Phil in the first 5 minutes of the episode. Bennie calls Tony and tells him the Grey Fox is gone. Tony tells Bennie to go back to the hospital and check on Sil only to find out he has died. With Phil out of the way, Tony tells Carm it's ok to leave the safe house. Tony meets with Uncle June to tell him Phil, Bobby and Sil are dead and he wishes Uncle June were also. Uncle June commits suicide. Dr. Elliot is watching the news of the murders and calls Melfie, who now feels bad for abandoning Tony. She calls him and asks if she can see him. Tony sets up a meeting with the head of the other NY family ( who will be played by someone Chase admires, maybe Joe Pesci ). He agrees with Tony that Phil had to go and they both agree on Carmine Jr taking Phils place. Tony sets a meeting with Butchie and Albie in a parking lot to make the peace. When they show up, Tony kills them both with the machine gun Bobby bought him, which was "Made in America". Tony informs Paulie he's done and will recommend he take over the Family. At Uncle June's wake, Tony informs his family he is done with the buisness and wants to concentrate on being a good husband and good father. The ending is either going to be Tony and his family in the ice cream parlor, or if Chase filmed that as a red herring, it will be Spring and Tony is sitting by the pool and the ducks return. Some people think it will end with Tony waking up and the whole show was a dream. I for one thanks thats ridiculous, but if you believe that is how it will end, heres one for you. You hear Ade calling out to Chistopher. We see Chris at his computer typing the final words on his screenplay, "The Sopranos" Fade to black. I dont believe Tony or his family get killed, but if any of them do, it will be Meadow, probably in the car with Patsy Jr. AJ will have a pretty big part in this episode, but I think he will live. I interviewed Peter Bogdanovich on Thursday. He told me he doesn't know how it ends because Chase filmed 3 endings, but he did tell me he talked to an editor who saw the final episode, and all he would tell Peter is that he couldn't sleep after seeing it. Iggy I can relate, because I almost always have trouble sleeping after a Sopranos episode. I go over it again and again in my mind. I just got back last night, so I have 2 on demand shows to watch before 9 tonight. The greatest TV show ever ends tonight, I think I will have to wear black for the next week! And apparently, I forgot how to post during the last 3 weeks!!

Well, now that it's all over and done with, what did everyone think? I thought that it was mostly a pretty good episode, EXCEPT for that last scene. I felt it wasn't a very satisfying way to end the series, but if someone can come up with a convincing argument to explain it that will make me think otherwise, I'd definitely like to hear it.

OK, I have apparently been living on Pluto 'cuz I've never seen the Sopranos. We were at dinner with some neighbors and one couple had to leave a few minutes before it started, explaining this was the final episode.
Not exactly knowing what to expect, we came home and threw the TV on HBO and watched. I've seen the last show of a few long series before, but at the end, Rhonda and I just looked at each other with a WTF? look!
Bizarre. But, since I hadn't seen it before, I really can't say.

The last 5 minutes were really tense, but with no payoff at the end, I felt like I had been fooled. I tried getting onto HBO's site last night to read what others were saying on the Soprano's message board. As expected, it took forever to get on because there was so much traffic, but one explanation I read was that the sudden ending was a reference to the conversation Tony & Bobby had when they were in the boat on the lake at Bobby's summer place. Bobby had said (in reference to whacking someone), "When the end comes, you probably don't even hear it or see it coming". And that's exactly what happened when the scene/episode/series ended. It ended suddenly and we didn't hear it coming or see it coming. The point of ending the series the way they did was because it creates greater anticipation (and the potential for greater $$$) if/when a follow - up movie is ever done.

Well hell, I A&E huh... I guess that I am three seasons behind there already. Oh well, with it sounding like a crappy ending I question whether I should bother.
So what happened?? Was Bobby Ewing in the shower saying it was all a dream?
