Looks like it's going to be a great weekend. Make sure you bring a sweater, it might only be in the 80's.

HEY ALL, I am back. It will take some time to catch up. To answer a question posted about 2 weeks ago... I saw NO indication that high gas prices have changed ANYONES driving habits. If you dont drive >80mph... get out of the way.

Welcome back, Gordon, we missed you!
Meanwhile, I'm on my way out of here. Heading out to the Sandy Hook bash, and will probably be out of touch until Sunday night sometime. I'd leave Bukkake Boy in charge, but I'm assuming he'll be at the same event (be afraid... be VERY afraid!) so I'll leave Tex holding the reins this time.......Jake

It's just as well for you guys that I wound up not attending -- I can serve up stronger winds than Katrina. They would've had to call in The Army Corps of Engineers just to figure out how to deal with all the beach erosion.

Well, I'm back in Chicago from Sandy Hook. The Pampered Princess and I only spent one day (Saturday) at the beach, so I'll refrain from posting a formal trip report. Maybe Renee can give us a full accounting, having been there the entire time?
I'll just say that Saturday was great: great weather, lots of fun folks, lots of shared comestibles. I brought along a big bottle of pre-mix vodka and lemonaide, but folks kept handing me other drinks (jello shots, cosmos, margaritas, etc.) so I barely needed to crack open the private reserve. And when I finally did, I gave most of it away to others. There is a very "bread and fishes" vibe going on at the Hook.
Richard Bourke was there, but I didn't talk to him. There were also several Hedo ECs there, but since I hate all of those miscreants, I avoided them with alacrity. The Bubbly Bares seemed to dominate the proceedings, but WWW folks put in a good showing as well. Lots of members of this board were on board, but I'll let them chime in on their own.
All in all, a splendid time was had by all......Jake

Louie spit his margarta on me in laughter when I said some smartypants comment about his weenie. The ocean ground me into the ground (never knew my ear could hold so many rocks--or maybe the water was knocking them out of my head) when I tried to pee. And my face turned its customary blotchy brown from the sun while the rest of me is white white white.
I'd say, all in all, a fab time was had! Can't wait till next year! Seriously!
BB, come next year and I'll show you the technique NOT to use for evacuation of bodily fluids. And you can just tell me about your litter box techniques for the non-fluids...visuals aren't needed. I'd rather bask in the glow of your articulations. Though Jake did comment that none of us are as witty and charming in real life as we are on this board. Snicker.

Jake, I think you did a fine job of reporting. The only thing I could add is that no one got arrested which was a good thing. Regarding those bare Bares - they had a table of food set up for everyone, hence the crowd. That's one way of getting lots of different nekkid people to come by, and you don't have to stand to go see them. WWWW I know had the larger group - they just don't have that "organizational thing" going on.
The Saturday pot luck was impressive (considering there was no organization) with jerked tuna, corned beef ruebens, shrimp cocktail, ceasar salad, pizza, stromboli, london broil, grilled pork tenderloin, pulled pork, chinese, pizza and more. It was quite the piggy feast. Richard was seen going for the hot dogs. Guess he wanted the real deal. There still wasn't enough time to visit with everyone. Somehow I missed the palm reader. Never saw the guy myself but I think John said he got his palm read. The pussy painting was pretty funny and we had a "blessing of the pussy's" by the Bishop. They are sacred now- be very afraid.
Sunday was very paired down - more than usual I think. . Perhaps the weather reports scared them off. It turned out to be a pretty nice day! They did the sand sculpture contest which was a hoot. Andy won with an actual sand "sculpture", over drawings in the sand of a vagina trimmed with broccoli, which Richard deemed looked like warts, there was an introspective of "balls looking for a cock", (I think it was Rupe's) and the most creative was Ruthanne & Elaine who 15 minutes before the judging began, covered themselves in suntan oil, rolled in the sand, then huddled together in an embrace to form their living sand sculpture.
Ruthanne should donate her brain to science.
***********
Taking advantage of the Thread Topic - We're off to Santa Barbara, CA this Wednesday to visit my daughter so I'll see you all in a week. Have a great holiday weekend!

You are much less abrasive in real life, which might be a positive. But on the other hand (as Rupe would say) you are less scatalogical in person, which might be a negative. So it all depends on one's perspective......Jake

I hate all of the ECs with the white hot passion of a thousand exploding suns. I do NOT need some noisy Hollywood-wannabee pinhead blowing a whistle to tell me when or how to have fun. And I especially don't need them slapping my ass (which has happened) while I'm quietly enjoying a cigar and a martini at Delroy's but they think I should be joining in some stupid beach game. Basically, I wish that they should all die a horrible miserable painful sphincter-wrenching death. Other than that, they are just peachy keen folks......Jake

The palm reader guy was truly amazing. He knew me better than I knew myself. All I can say is it was a serious *moment* for me.
After getting back, I heard that Winston had to pay for his own ticket to the Reunion. This tidbit of gossip came from someone who wasn't even at the Hook. All I can say is Hmmmm....
BB....I'm sure you'd get along with the rest of us geeks. Talking tech really turns me on.

I do NOT need some noisy Hollywood-wannabee pinhead blowing a whistle to tell me when or how to have fun. I don't blame you one bit -- matter of fact, I actually agree with you (surprise!). Just was curious to see if we were of the same mind as far as our reasoning goes, and it sounds as if we are. Back in '88 -- my first trip -- I found the EC's so obnoxious that I originally didn't intend to return. After burning out on Club Meds, I eventually gave Hedo a second chance in '92. While I still find I have to overlook certain behavior, I've felt overall that the pluses outweigh the minuses. Also, I'm too fuckin' old to go to Club Med now.

Oh, I don't know about that. Face it: if I kept behaving in 'real life' like my online persona, I'd be exhausted. Or have a heart attack. Maybe both.

Since she doesn't like to advertise her absences for security reasons, I'll keep mum on this issue. Except to say that she is sitting in her living room right now with a shotgun aimed at the front door. Burglars beware!
And I actually did think about the old avatar switcheroo thing, but decided against it. She knows where I live.......Jake

But noooooooo, she wants to get a jump on Mardi Gras to get the best possible hotel room ...
