Venezuela has been propping up the Cuban government ever since the USSR fell in 91. Chavez (another icon of Ozzie’s) has had a long love affair with Castro. No wonder American Cubans want Ozzie’s head.
I was so happy when he left Chicago. He’s a real dumb shit with bad judgment. Yea he has some baseball skills…BFD. He’s a horrible human being. They should ship him back to Venezuela. You think he could speak better English by now too. What a jerk.

What I would like to know is how many of those Miami based Cubans are second or third generation. By that time who gives a shit.
I am third generation Italian and if some one would say they love Mussolini I could give a shit. Beside Ozzie is Venezuelan and I don't think that Venezuela has any realationship problems with Cuba. There are Jews who weren't even born during WWII who have strong feelings about Nazis. Just because *you* don't give a shit about Mussolini doesn't mean other Italian-Americans feel likewise. Thats correct. But why should I sit here and pout about something that happened before I was born?

Who's saying you should? Some people are more in touch with their heritage than others.

Your right I can care less. Llike my dad says that his grandfather used to say to people who spoke Italian in his house." We are in America now. You speak english in my house or you keep your mouth shut."
So am I going to get suspend for 5 games because I called them Crazy Bastards?

Your right I can care less. Llike my dad says that his grandfather used to say to people who spoke Italian in his house." We are in America now. You speak english in my house or you keep your mouth shut." Which is perfectly fine -- FWIW, that wouldn't have gone over in Brooklyn too well. Despite significant gentrification over the years, I still have elderly Italian immigrants in my neighborhood who continue speak Italian frequently. In some cases, they speak English to outsiders and Italian to their family; I see this on the street when they're splitting a conversation by yelling at their husband/wife in Italian and talking to the mailman in English. In other cases, these 80+ year olds have been living in the same house for 50-60 years and either don't speak any English or it is extremely limited with a very heavy accent. The young hipsters who've infiltrated this neighborhood over the years get malocchio from these old folks, who tend to follow that up by cursing at them in Italian. So, alluding to Anita's comment, having a heavy accent after many years in the country isn't all that uncommon -- I hear it with Hispanics, Italians and Asians all the time. So am I going to get suspend for 5 games because I called them Crazy Bastards? Let's split the difference and make it 157 games.

So, alluding to Anita's comment, having a heavy accent after many years in the country isn't all that uncommon -- I hear it with Hispanics, Italians and Asians all the time. I hear a lot of that in Chicago too. People who have lived here for decades and can barely speak English or none at all. I say it's wrong. If you have chosen to live here you should speak the language to the extent that you can communicate with your bank, lender, neighbor, coworker and store clerk. That goes for some born here too. It's so very sad.

Some of the old folks in the small towns around Austin still speak German to each other although they also speak English. The younger ones generally stick to English.

Is it just me or does the amount of errors in games this year seem higher than normal? Last week I watched about 15 games 5 Giants the rest other teams but it seemed like there was 4 or 5 errors in each game.
This is shit you should work out in spring training.
The Giants are leading the league with 15 in 10 games.

I haven't even bothered to watch any Mets or Yanks games so far and I don't have the MLB Package on my cable system, so I haven't seen any other teams. You are right about spring training, but it also sounds like a lot of players aren't taking the usual pre-game infield practice, either.

Im not sure. I had not noticed it. I will pay more attention. I do recall last year that there seemed to be more games with teams having 2 or more errors per game, but dont know if it was real or not. Edited: it may just be you Joe Link

1 st month surprises. Nationals, Dodgers, Orioles. Nationals and Orioles will fade by June 1 but I think the Dodgers are here for the duration.
Biggest Disappointment. The LA Angels. 7-15 last in the AL West, Albert with no Home Runs in the first 22 games of the season. Holy Shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A LOT of chatter going on about Pujols being a Poo Hole. Some big names have had troubles over the years going from one league to the other, but this will be a collapse of epic proportions if it continues much longer. You would think that in the interleague play era, this would not be such a big issue. After all its not like he hasnt seen a lot of these pitchers ever before.

I would include Boston in the disappointments list; recalling his years as Mets manager, I thought Bobby V would have a more positive impact right out of the gate.
