Giants lead 3 to 1 after a 4-0 win tonight. I still think there will be a game 6 in SF on Wednesday. I don't think they can beat Lee twice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are lots of idiots in the Bay Area. Last night after the Giants won game 4 they celebrated in the city like they won the series. The idiots on the sports station I listen to are talking this morning like the Giants don't even need to show up tonight and they will win. They fuckers are going to jinx them, if they don't stop. Dumb mother fuckers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They did the same thing in 02 when they took a series lead over the Angels then lost it.
Never count you chickens before the hatch.

November basedall dosen't really bother me, but it would be nice if they did finsh by the end of October with game 7. If you get some rain-outs or earthquakes, we might still be playing baseball after we set our clocks back.

OK, Joseph, now here's your dilemma: you're now forbidden from complaining about the Giants until 2012 -- of course that assumes they don't repeat in 2011, but, hey, you never know ...

I suppose a "best of" with quotes taken from the previous 5 pages of his posts could prove the point, but Im not that ambitious.

Joe, we had the number of games right at least I thought for sure that Texas was going to beat them in 5. On paper they had better hitting, but I am very happy with the outcome.

No I will bitch in 2011 because they have to resign lots of these guys to get back there again and they don't have the much in the check book to play with. Huff, Burrell, Renteria, Uribe, Ross are a free agents. I don't know if they will have enough to repeat. I say watch out for Texas next year.

Renteria may just retire and be done with it all.

I am watching the Giants parade in San Francisco something I thought I would never see.

Cool -- I wasn't sure if they were going to have a parade or just a rally at the ballpark. Where are they marching?
(And BTW, tell Denice Happy B-day -- not sure if she still logs in any more)

I dont know Joe. He really is on the back side of his career, the Giants could tie up a huge amount of $$ for 10HR's and a .270 batter (this year). Granted a true team leader and still a great fielder, but not a great value unless he is taking a pay cut.

His fielding -- both range & arm -- have been under scrutiny this year as not being up to what he once was. That said, keep in mind that he was SI's Sportsman Of The Year just a year ago and has a history of strong comebacks after an off year. Yanks would take a tough PR hit (at least in the short term) if they let The Captain get away.

Jeter could be a prime candidate for a Festivus "Airing of Grievances" session

No, I don't think he's Arbitration-eligible. BTW, contacting another team is what the Yanks management suggested he do in the first place to compare offers.

Well the dumb shit Giants let Juan Urbie go to the fucking Dodgers yesterday so we currently have no real shortstop and the market out there for that postion is not that great.
Maybe we can trade Zito for a good shortstop.
I think they contacted Jeter to see if they could maybe get a one year deal. I still don't see Jeter wearing anything but pinstrips next year.
Also i don't think AT&T park would that good gor Jeter for home runs since the park is so big.

Good god, they could have offered Uribe double and it would have been cheaper than Jeter... and still a better value. Sorry to hear that Joe, I know how you feel. Last year the Tigers let Granderson go to the Yankees, I felt the same way.

Joe, how would you like Jose Reyes? Over the weekend, SportsCenter reported that the Mets are going into The Winter Meetings to shop around Reyes; they will be asking for 3 - 4 players.

BB I like him. I think he is a good player for the few Met games I have seen last year.
Straight swap Zito for Reyes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last year the Tigers let Granderson go to the Yankees, I felt the same way. No shit. The Dodgers got him for 21 or 22 million for 3 years. The Giants are just looking for a ticket draw like they did with Randy Johnson in 2009 before he got his 300th win. Bastards are going to make me pull for the Dodgers if they keep pulling that kind of shit. Also heard the Pat Burrell may be going to the Dodgers also. Joe.

You keep trying to get rid of Zito. Last Spring, you wanted to do straight up for Jason Bay -- look what happened to Bay and look what happened to the Giants. You should re-think keeping Zito.
