Pulling Sanchez is what won the game last night. He was struggling badly before hitting Utley in the back, and if he had not lost his cool and cleared the benches he might have been left in just enough longer to allow more runs and give Phil the game.
Great combination for the Series. Texas looking for their first Championship ever, Giants for their first since moving to SF.
Texas in 5

Sanchez plain ass sucked. He had his head up ass as he has done many times in the past. If I was GM of the team his ass would be gone at the end of the season.
The Giants pen saved them last night and Uribe's hit was the big winner.
I do agree with Gordon the Ranger in 5. This are going their way now and then there is a guy by thye name of Lee.

Joseph, congrats on delaying the start of your NFL season. Another exciting win! Giants-Rangers? Rangers in 6! The NBA starts Friday night so the NFL is a full sport for me.

I do agree with Gordon the Ranger in 5. I generally want a full series of 7 games (just so long as one of *my* teams ain't in it), so I'll still go with 6 but hope for 7.

I think A-Rod had a better ALCS than lots of the other Yankees.

Jeter, Rivera, Posada & Pettitte ... they are what's called The Core Four. The big NYC discussion now is will they return? And what about Girardi?

Jeter, Rivera, yes. Pettitte maybe. I think Jorge is history. I hope they keep Girardi.

Girardi deserves to stay. BUT ... (and here's the kicker!)
If the Yanks really want to sign Cliff Lee during the winter, will they still be able to re-sign BOTH Jeter *AND* Rivera?

Will the Yanks go after Lee or will Nolan Ryan keep him now that he is a owner of the Rangers.

And given how they played, Onion is probably the best you could hope to smell.

Pettitte and Posada are replaceable, Rivera less so and Jeter is a modern member of Murderers Row. He's off limits to other teams for the market draw alone.

Will the Yanks go after Lee or will Nolan Ryan keep him now that he is a owner of the Rangers. Maybe I'm remembering this incorrectly but weren't the Rangers broke a while back and owned by the league? Not sure if they have the money -- but if they do, it'll be a helluva bidding war!

I was watching an interview a couple of weeks ago with the Mets owners and they said that they would do whatever it takes to make a winner this winter.
New owner ship at the Ranger and I think they have money.

11 to 7 in game one, who would have thought! 6 errors in a WS games! Unfucking believable.
Giants up 1 to 0.

If we had Price pitching tonight and Garza on Saturday I just feel like the Rays could win this thing. I am having a hard time giving this season up knowing that the partial break up of the Rays is coming in the off season.
Oh well. Off the watch the Magic tip off their season tonight in their new $400M+ arena. Looking forward to seeing John Wall's introduction to the NBA.

I have Cablevision, so either I wait till morning to see what you guys post to find out who won or I stay up late and watch the bullets on CNN.
Maybe I'll pick-up one of those vintage 1950 style analog antennas for my modern plasma TV.

Gary, I bet if you ask nice, Dr Bob will help you put up a 30 foot high mast for that antenna. If its worth doing, its worth overdoing.

If Bob sets it up I'll be able to watch the World Series as well as the live feed from the Space Station.

I know what you mean. It's like when the wineries ask me how many are you going to have this year? I always say, I will tell you as soon as the truck go over the scale.
This is series is far from over. I think Texas will wake up at home.

I don't mind seeing the Giants win, I'm just hoping it's not a sweep -- although there's some internal conflict I have with seeing a 7 game series and watching a World Series game played in November.

November basedall dosen't really bother me, but it would be nice if they did finsh by the end of October with game 7. I think the season starts a little earlier next year so it does not push into November.
They could also add a couple of real double headers to the schedule like they used to to shorten the season. Say 2 per team would work.
