Came home yesterday to find a few hundred Starlings making a new home in our garage... now in 24 hours I can't see the garage floor for all the bird shit... Ran to town and bought 2 owl decoys and some sonic pest away things... installed both... now just waiting to see if they worked. I have NEVER in my life seen this many Starlings in one place... if it was only a handful I would just sit outside with the pellet gun and deal with it... I thought about poison in some bird food... but if I do that I will have dead birds everywhere... which won't be pleasant come spring.

Put some urinal cakes in the area, that intense smell should drive them away.
BTW -- Do you have a garage door?

If that doesn't work, try wearing the urinal cakes as earrings; I've used this method and found it keeps away many unwanted pests.

Last summer the door was broken when the wind caught it during a bad storm and don't latch right and it will swing open if the wind hits it right... as soon as the weather breaks it is getting fixed ASAP. I also have some sofitting that is hosed up and needs to be fixed as well as I seen some come in through there as well. Good news is that is seems that the owls and noise makers are working... as of sunset tonight NO FUCKING BIRDS!!! Now if they stay gone... the mess they left is going to take a fuckload of time to clean up

GRRRRRR....... fucking birds are BACK!!! Tomorrow I will implement the FINAL solution... I picked up some rat poison and have it dissolving in water and will be treating some birdfood with it and setting it out for the little bastards. I will have a fuckload of dead birds to deal with, but it beats them shitting all over the damn place!!

Sounds like another "Final Solution" Ive heard of.. good luck with that. You could try waiting until they are all in the garage, close the door and set the whole thing on fire.

I'd run around the garage in a giant chicken suit screaming and flapping my arms.

That's how I know it works, the downside is all the people leave too. I recommend several Appletons first, to help get into the role. Plus there's a cardo benefit.

This thread is generating a Google Ads banner at the top of my page for a company in the UK called 'Beaver Pest Control'.
I had no idea there were such specialists out there, but bravo to any industrious entrepreneur who can identify and open up such a hard to get at niche.
