The Condition by Jennifer Haigh is a very readable novel about a dysfunctional emotionally distant family (that I came to love) and their relationship over the years.
One of the reasons I wanted to post a recommendation over here was that one of the characters goes to a little island in the Caribbean and stays at a resort called, Pleasures, that has a nude section & the descriptions of the resort (starting with the lobby) sounded vaguely familiar!! That part was a trip!
I practically read it one sitting once I started in...something about the characters appealed to me & I do love a family story....especially dysfunctional well educated New England family stories.
If you have an opening in your reading schedule....I highly recommend it!!
