Admittedly I am extremely biased on the subject but since you asked......I passionately subscribe to the theory that you stay #1 until you have been beaten. So in my book logic dictates that it should be LSU. God loves those who love the Tigers!

Nola, I might accept that if there was unanimous consent on #1, however, there is a split vote here worse than Florida 2000, and sorry, LSU gets only 1 #1 vote in one poll. The people who love LSU need God's love, for comfort and support.

I have a Hedo bud from many years ago who is a hard nosed Buckeye fan. I told him he had two major concerns. USC and Wisconsin. USC could cost them a shot at the BCS and Wisconsin could cost them the Rose Bowl.

Week 2 sees Auburn playing Southern Miss, who ain't no push over either. Good luck in week 2 Gordon.

There are huge oak trees down everywhere and power is still out to about 90% of the city. School has been cancelled too until Monday at the earliest.

I remember LSU's campus from the many times I've been to Tiger Stadium for the Auburn-LSU game. LSU has one of the prettiest campuses I've ever seen anywhere. Any damage would be a shame.

Not a lot of ch-ch-changes, I am amazed that Ohio St is still in the top 5 considering what USC did to them (I turned that game off at halftime), and surprised that BYU didnt go higher considering what they did to UCLA.

USC looked pretty damn strong Saturday night. OSU is an excellent team and maybe just maybe OSU and several other top 10 teams will catch up with USC by the end of the season. It's been done before.

Wisconsin had a fight on their hands with Fresno State but like the really good team they are, they won. Congrats Gordon.
