She wasn't an Irish flight attendant who worked for Aer Lingus, was she? I don't know about that but she was certainly quite a cunning linguist. Simon

He'd use different shades of brown, depending on his diet.

I hope Oz is finding all of this free advice helpful. Gawd, this is what I get for not logging in frequently enough to reply before I had 56 posts to read. If San Francisco is as interesting as this thread I should be in for a good time (ranging from forests to nude beaches to great restaurants to gay blokes in leather to cunnilingus and poo. I could do without #5 and #7 tho... Joe: I wasn't sure at first why you were against SF. Initially I wondered if you may have just been trying to prevent its contamination by Aussies but as I read on the truth was revealed!! Chris: I am coming to Chicago in Mid October cause my industry is too bloody stupid and stingy to hold trade shows in the middle of ski season at somewhere like Whistler or Vail or in a nice beach side resort! In fact all of my previous visits to Chicago have been Oct or Nov! Jake: I will look forward to a few Martini's whilst in Chicago. To bad that singer is no longer at that bar/restaurant! Andy: I will take Tex's advice and PM you for some suggestions. I have been to SF twice before (86 and about 96ish). Visited and loved Muir Woods (loved it and definitely going back there) and the usual tourist places like Fisherman's Wharf. Didn't go to Alcatraz but that doesn't hold much interest. Muir woods is more me than Alcatraz or Fisherman's Wharf! Oh and I am familiar with the term "naturist" my excuse for "naturalist" was I was writing that at 2am after a particularly harrowing day! I will be in touch! BB: I remember those blokes from my last visit to SF. Went to a housewarming party once in LA being thrown by a gay mate. Me and 40 gay blokes in an Apartment. Interesting experience. Must say tho I was better accepted (much more welcome) than one gay bloke at a housewarming with 40 straight guys! These days I just use my Aussie accent to get better service from waitresses and hotel receptionists! All that talk of temperatures made me think it might be too cold for me on a nude beach. Heck I think a beach is cold on any day under 100F (or at least the water is!!). Harbin Hot Springs was the place I found and it didn't sound like me from the web site. I think thats been confirmed. I too would like that nudist/naturist venue Andy is hoping for (or at least one where they don't care what you believe!) Still I am open to suggestions. Cliff House restaurant sounds interesting (never heard of it)! Muir Woods is a must - thats my kind of spirituality (says he as an atheist). Never had the time to look before but I hope there are longer walks than the one to the main grove there! I guess this has decided me on an SF stopover rather than LA. I've seen so much of LA I know it too well and other than a visit to Fry's Electronics on Sepulveda south of LAX and an evening (or two) in Harvells in Santa Monica (a lovely little blues bar with great live music) I don't think I'll miss LA. Thanks all for advice and the references to cunnilingus! Oh yes and thanks for the update on cell phone coverage at H2. Mine will cover nextg or 3G as well as older technology, worked in China 3 weeks ago so I hope it will work there! Now to some planning and hoping nothing goes wrong this time! Ozmale
