I've got to agree with the consensus of people on the website who commented - if you're too stupid to READ the terms and conditions - especially if you're going out of the country and there MIGHT be something you need to know about the phone before you travel - you're LIABLE for the charges. I think it's ridiculous these people are trying to get out of something because they DIDN'T READ the information in their user manual or posted on the websites before they went.

But Collen, $4800!? To have your e-mail current? Most of which is spam consisting of porn, surveys and "power lawn seed".
A little FYI --- I tried a demo iphone last night and it took 10 minutes to upload a web page.

I have to agree with Gaz on this, it may have been in the terms and conditions but that is a fuck of a lot of money just to collect your emails. According to the article : That is an extortionate amount of money and goes well beyond the few pence (or cents if you prefer ) that it would probably have cost AT&T to provide that service. When I am in the US I usually call home every other day and speak for between 10 and 12 minutes and my bill for those voicecalls is rarely more than $100 to $200 for the trip. Simon
