I just hooked up a weather station I installed this weekend and I have the info posted to the web. Totally unnecessary, but fun for a geek! LinkI'll be working on hosting my own web page with this useless information over the next few days. .............Bob

Very cool. It even gives a map to your house!
How about a run-down on the hardware you are using?

Very cool. It even gives a map to your house! How about a run-down on the hardware you are using? I set up a Peet Brother's system, Jake. It's the one here! It's a hardwired system, as opposed to wireless. I have too many wireless gizmos as it is, so didn't want things interfering with each other. I have a 20 foot mast up on the roof holding a ham radio wire antenna, so just put the wind vane on the top of the mast and the bucket lookin' thingy (rain gauge, outdoor temp and humidity sensor) down on the mast aways so I could get to it easily. Easy. .............Bob

No Edie... negative Fahrenheit in something is still normal around here. A week ago it got down to -22 one morning, but at least it wasnt the -37 over in Minnesota.

9.7 degrees??? DANG, Gordon, you need to move south!! Well, I just got mine up, so it will take awhile to gather data. I'm using a Peet Brother's Ultimeter and the software is Virtual Weather Station. Seems there are many different software packages out there to use, but this one seems to do what I like . . . at least we'll see! ...........Bob

Over the next couple days, double digit temps will become just another good idea, we might hit freezing by the weekend however. Bob check out www.weather-display.com I use it and it has the ability to link to your web site, plus a lot of other bells and whistles.

That program looks pretty good, Gordon. I think they are both fairly similar. I *just* yesterday bought a registration for my software. I'll play around with the trial version of yours and see how I like it.
Temp. here just dropped 10 degrees in about 20 minutes. I thought something was wrong with my thermometer! I had to go online and check the others in the area to make sure. Interesting stuff . . .

My biggest surprise was that there was a place in Clearwater with 65 feet of elevation.
Gordon - I don't see how you do it.
