Some members are having trouble deciding what size of photos to post. If they post one that is too wide, it crunches the screen to one side, squeezing the mini-profiles (your name and avatar) and sometimes giving you a horizontal scroll bar, which is extremely annoying.
If your resolution is not listed in the options above, please select "other" and let us know.
Thanks!.......Jake

I'm doing 1440x900 on the work computer.
Zilla (who agrees that large images can be a bit annoying for me, but not enough to bitch about)

Go to Control Panel, then Display, and click on Settings.

1024X768 (cheap bastard) The resolution is bad enough that the Windows Help logo looks like a green chicken head.

Thanks, I'm such a non-geek. My work station is set at 1280 x 1024. That appears to be the highest without the custom option.

Are you using a dang microscope to read the print, Gordon? Damn, I just set mine to 1920 by 1200, and it looks like about 2 point print!! Edited to add: OK Gordon, I see on another thread you mentioned "computer glasses." I never knew these were available, but they make sense. The problem I have it that I wear contacts, and my left eye is set for "near"(reading) and my dominant right eye is set for distance. The problem is the computer screen is just a bit far from the "near" eye but way to close for the distant. I was actually thinking of getting a specific prescription of glasses to wear when I have my contacts in to focus both eyes on the computer screen. Each lens of the glasses would thus have a different prescription. Alas, this may be too complicated. I'll see what the eye doc says in the morning. Also found THIS on computer glasses. Very interesting!!

I selected 1152 x 864 because that is the highest setting my control panel allows me to set it at but this new monitor tells me it auto adjust to 1440 x 900 whenever I boot up.

Very interesting!! Great like Bob!! my computer glasses are my MOST important pair and I wear them most days and ALWAYS when on the computer, they are even serviceable as reading glasses. As far as reading the 'fine print' at my 2560x1600 setting... my new monitor is a 30 inch wide screen, so the print appears about the same as size as it does on my 21 inch monitor set to 1600x1200.
