You have probably heard by now that Proctor and Gamble are out to acquire Gilette. I dont have any particular views on the action. But I was amazed at just how large the new company will be. THe news reports put estimated revenues of the new company in the range of $60 billion worldwide. According to the Worldbank's figures of GDP, that would make it about 50th globally, if it were a country (about on the level of Peru or Romania) www.worldbank.org/data/databytopic/GDP.pdfGordon

Yeah, personally I feel cheated with only having 4 blades.
Editted to add... Of course the combo of blades/personal vibrator has made for a lot of smoother legs in the past year or so ;D ;D Maybe they can beef up the virbrator mechanism.

Well Jake,
You know how much smoother you will be with 15 instead of the lousy 14 blade.

I am tempted to go back to a straight razor and a strop. It takes a little longer and you have to be careful, but nothing shaves as close.

You is very, very correct. It's been forever since I had a shave with a straight razor......a great experience.

You know people are mixing up two different companies. Shick has the Quattro a four blade razor and Gillette has the three blade vibrating razor. I just figured I'd let everyone know. We can't have inacurate information on this board. ;D BTW I prefer the Gillette. Ian

Why would anybody want razors vibrating against their skin? Sounds to me like a sure-fire way to make yourself bleed ... if that's your fetish. Eeewww.

If ya want that face as smooth as a babys arse, straight-edge razors are the way to go. I'm somewhat of a collector here, I have 10 and I just wuv my pearl handle one

Straight edge is really becoming a lost art... to bad, it does give a great shave.
I am stuck at the 2 blade level. call me old fashioned, and if my hands every start to shake like my grandfathers did, I will up it to 4 blades AND have the vibrating option going for me too!!

#1 I'm happy for P&G...I own stock in it. whoo-hoo! (who the fuck cares, I know).
#2 That vibrating razor was good....it gave many a gal a thrill at Hedo last November when Alan from Wisc. played Barber of Negril. A photo of the pussy Alan shaved onto Kenny from NYC's chest is in the upcoming new printing of the Hedo2 book....the shape wasn't the triangle Kenny was expecting and made for much amusement.
