On DVD, I saw "A Good Woman" with Scarlett J. and Helen Hunt--incredibly excellent for story line, visuals of Amalfi Coast, 1930s outfits, and pithy banter.
So I read the Oscar Wilde play (Lady Windemere's Fan) that the movie was based on. Excellent too---then I did his "Importance of Being Earnest"--hilarious (seen the play in the past and the writing is better than I remember the play being).
Now I'm on Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray"....wowsers.
How did I miss all this stuff all these years? (rhetorical question) Most excellent stuff, especially for Victorian England. Sly and smart. Corrupt and in your face. Highly recommended.

Now I'm on Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray"....wowsers I read this a few years ago and have always wanted to read more of Wilde's work. Maybe now I'll feel inspired to do so. Simon "I am not young enough to know everything" - Oscar Wilde
