I need a definition for a word. The Pampered Princess and I were watching "The Blues Brothers" and Steve Lawrence says to Jake and Elwood:
You guys are still wearing those focacta suits!
Does anyone know what the hell "focacta" means? I mean, by the context, it obviously appears to mean crazy or fucked up, but I was hoping to find a more formal definition somewhere. Thanks!......Jake (the other Jake)

Can't find one one the Internet or any hard-copy dictionaries I have.
I think your meaning is on target given the way it's used in various sites that I found on Google.

farkatk(e) lousy, ridiculous "That's a facacta idea." "You guys are still wearing those farkatke suits." Due to my vast nationality make-up some things come natural. There will be a quiz at the Piano Bar next time Jake! Love that movie, it has sooo many great moments. www.bergen.org/AAST/Projects/Yiddish/English/comwor.html

Chris, Glad I can return a favor. I'm also fluent in Swahili. The language is constructed similar to Spanish. The more one drinks everything sounds like Swahili anyway. Keeping up with the holidays can be brutal in my family. Ninaitwa Gary. Wewe unaitwaje? (My name is Gary. What's your name?) www.glcom.com/hassan/lessons/useful_swahili_words.html

Oy! I guess it's obvious I've lived by some jewish neighbors.
Shmuz (schmutz) and shvitsn are common words in my every day language.
