I don't know about May, but if you can swing the first week in April (especially April 5-12, 2008) I can guarantee a good time......Jake

The first week in May has the end of the Biff Bunch gang so it's pleasantly crowded. And the last week in May usually has a nice crowd since that's a 3-day weekend for Americans (Memorial Day).
The middle of the month is typically smaller in crowd size. The weather seems to typical for Jamaica--some rain, mostly sunny. It's warmer at night than in the Dec-Feb time frame.

I haven't been to Hedo II but have been to Hedo III in May and I would warn you that weatherwise it's the second wettest month of the year so ya takes ya chances!! On two May trips my ex and I had two consecutive days of non-stop rain at the end of the week. On our last trip in May '06 we had three consecutive days of it. I know that the weather can vary across the island... but just letting you know...

Ganja and the cold tub are at its best from May till Sept. A couple of perks for my favorite time to go.

We were married on May 7, 2003 and stayed in Jamaica for 3 weeks after that. Our first week (at H2) it rained each & every day ... for hours at a time. Our 2nd week we were in Treasure Beach (south coast) and it was scorching hot heat (and not just because of our honeymoon). The 3rd week, we were back in Negril and the weather was gorgeous. We've been since then in late April/early May and had some showers, but nothing like that wedding week. And we've been in later May and had good weather. As Simon says May is one of the wettest months...so there you go! We've met some wonderful May groups & people though....much like April (which we are quite partial to). Good luck with your planning!!! Liz (who leaves for H2 in 36 hours)

We were married on May 7, 2003 and stayed in Jamaica for 3 weeks after that. Our first week (at H2) it rained each & every day ... I just looked back at Denny's Visitor schedule and we were there at the same time. How did we miss this wedding?? The first week of May has been our traditional time to visit Hedo. Out of my 14 trips, I'm guessing 9 or so have been during this week. These trips began around 1997 and we've always had a great time in May. Biff's Bunch overlaps that time and the Go Classy used to sponsor "Nude Week" this time of year, but best I can tell quit that. I admit that the last couple of times we've been in early May it rained much more than usual. For most of our May trips the weather has been great, very little rain and the water in the nude pool WARM enough to swim in for our thin Floridian blood. I'm sure Global Warming is to blame for the rain! Typically, a number of folks who also attend the Winter WWW from Denny's site frequent the first week of May. It's still a great time to go! The weather is a bit warmer, the pool water is warm and usually the rain is not so bad. That may be ch-ch-changing, however. May *is* the start of the rainy season, and it can vary a few weeks either way. Without seeing the data, I would seriously doubt that May is the rainiest month, as typically the rainiest season is later in our summer (your winter!). .............Bob

Rupe & I have gone to Hedo the first week of May for almost 10 years now & we always have some rain but we also always have a wonderful time... as Anita said we overlap some of Biffs Bunch so the energy level is still high but not too crowded..
