Clinton, Gingrich Unite on Health Care

"Any Republican who thinks she will be easy to beat has total amnesia about the Clintons," Gingrich said. He also said she has the added benefit of her husband, "the smartest American politician as her adviser."
"Other than telling us how to live, think, marry, pray, vote, invest, educate our children and, now, die, I think the Republicans have done a fine job of getting government out of our personal lives."

That was my first thought too when I heard it on the radio.
Newt just wants to be on the winning side again and will pimp himself on anyone.
Here is another take on the story...
The bill would finance the development and implementation of regional health information organizations, which aim to facilitate the sharing of patient health information across providers in a state or community. Work to develop the organizations already is under way in several states, including Indiana and Massachusetts; however, many details--such as how they should operate and who should fund them--are still being worked out. The bill attempts to address some of those issues.
