If you are a baseball nut and even if your not the movie 42 is worth seeing. It is the story of Jackie Robinson and what he had to put up with when he became the first African American Major league baseball player. Harrision for played Branch Ricky the president and managing owner of the Brooklyn Dodges at the time. Great job by Ford, I could see an Oscar nomination coming out of this part.
Chadwick Baseman plays Jackie Robinson and he does a very good job. I can not recall seeing him other rolls before.
The scenery of the old stadiums is done to perfection. How do I know this? I have a book that give detail descriptions and pictures of all the old stadiums from the beginning of MLB up to todays new modern coliseums.I have read it cover to cover many times.
If you have the time and the bucks, go spend an evening or an afternoon and see this flick. You won't come out disappointed.

Thanks for the review! I have never seen a baseball movie I didn't like. Something about the game and the whole experience lends itself to good storytelling.
