Hello, everyone! I'm one of the partners of Marshmallow Ltd., which now proudly owns Hedonism II. While I do wish to maintain some degree of anonymity here, I do want to introduce myself and make my presence known to all of you. Although we are aware of the influence of Denny's message board, please don't for one second be mistaken -- your own little community here is EXTREMELY well known for its forthright and uncensored discussions on a wide variety of matters. This is just my way of saying that as experienced Hedonism visitors, your opinion is extremely important to all of us! That said, I would like to first mention some of the upgrades that we are or are planning on (and hopefully allay any fears) as well as address whatever questions or concerns you may have. 1. Towels. We are working continuously on this situation and desperately want your feedback on this proposal: while budget restrictions may limit what we can do, we are thinking that perhaps the best approach (at least for the short term) would be to assign 2 towels to every person who checks-in; those would be the only towels you would have during your stay -- HOWEVER, we are going to construct a number of common areas with washer/dryer combos where you may clean your towels at the end or start of each day. How does that sound? 2. Playroom. This has obviously been of great concern to a number of people. What we are proposing is this: we will discontinue the use of Club Hurricane as a disco and instead turn the entire space into one large playroom available to couples only after 11PM each night. Of course, the bar and lounge area would still be open to any and all but only couples would be permitted to enter the main area (formerly the dance floor) to play. Would that be suitable to everyone? 3. Food/Drinks. Currently, we are engaged with both Starbucks and Riese's Restaurants to negotiate an agreement to provide services to our beloved resort. We hope that their food and beverage service would be acceptable to everyone who visits us. But what we want to know is would that be acceptable to all of you veterans? Our sincere desire is to service ALL of the needs of our long-time clients as best we can, so your feedback is of great value to us. Please feel free to reply in posts to this thread or to create another thread on this message board to ask questions or discuss other issues. As I stated above, I am here because of the free-wheeling, open nature of this message board and since it is not encumbered by Denny's restrictions, this place may be a more appropriate forum to more openly discuss concerns and questions without fear of censorship. Many thanks to all of you in advance!

Welcome, MMM! Glad to have you on board. You will find that we do have a very diverse, if small, community here. And although we all love and respect each other, we do have a wide range of opinions, and often find ourselves in violent, albeit good-natured, disagreement on many topics. So my opinions stated below certainly do not speak for everyone here, just for me.
1. Anonymity is allowed, accepted, and encouraged here. I believe that thoughtful posts speak for themselves, and proving that you are someone real is not necessary to make a good point. But, on the other hand, claiming to speak for a group or organization without any sort of evidence is likely to result in suspicion, if not downright disbelief and disdain.
2. Personally, I think the towel program is working fine as is. The cards program makes sense and encourages responsible behavior. Washers and dryers? That's the kind of crap we go on vacation to get AWAY from!
3. Playroom: whenever I hear about COUPLES being treated better than SINGLES I think that this is no longer the Hedo that I know and love. I would never have discovered Hedo if it had been couples oriented. Nobody wants to be a second-class citizen. Just a personal opinion here, but I think that idea sucks.
4. Food and drinks: I've never had a problem in either of these areas at Hedo, although I'm certainly aware that many do. If outsourcing increases efficiency/satisfaction/profitability, I say go for it. Hell, I could eat Taco Bell for a week and be happy, as long as the sun is shining and the booze is flowing.
Like I said, I speak only for myself. I'm sure the rest of our denizens will not be shy in chiming in with their own thoughts.

Sadly not Anita. I chat with Beeb via WhatsApp quite regularly and he is adamant that he will not be returning... in any guise. Marshmallowman, thanks for taking the time to solicit thoughts and opinions from our merry band (and I'm not talking about our very own lovable rascal Robin Hood's followers) over here on the dark side. As I am planning a long overdue return to Hedo myself before too long I have no doubt that your input on this forum will ease many of my concerns.

It may not be Beeb but I don't buy into this being legit for a minute. Can you share Beeb's reasoning to drop this board? I'm interested to know. I always enjoyed his participation here. A clever guy with a wicked sense of humor.

Personally I would dearly love Beeb to return, and have told him as much, but I feel it is up to him and not me to explain his absence if he so wishes. However, if he should read this I hope your comments about him may tempt him to return...

I do hope he comes back to at least say goodbye, farewell or more to the point fuck off. <cracking myself up>

If Beeb makes an appearance, it will be a bolt out the blue when you least expect it

I miss Beeb terribly on here. The place just isn't the same without him. He's such a naturally gifted comic he should be writing material for comedians and sitcoms... or performing stand-up himself. His rare appearances on Dennyp used to crack me up and more than once I laughed out loud at work or spat coffee on my keyboard and monitor because of him.
Please come back...

If this is in fact a legit post I will chime in!
1. Towels, I think the current program works well... although having a washing machine and dryer available for guests to use on an as needed basis wouldn't be a bad idea... I have had the need for one a time or two while at Hedo in the past... 2. Playroom, having been both a single guest and a guest as a couple, there are times where singles are welcome and times when they are not... I personally would like to have a couples only area, with maybe the exception of singles having to enter/leave with a couple. 3. Food/beverage, personally I have always found the food and drink quite good, although I do understand some have higher expectations... like Jake said if it increases efficiency/satisfaction/profitability, I say go for it.

MMM thanks for the info on the improvements. The current towel program seems to be working fine. My only concern is the rooms, they are badly dated and need lots of repairs and I just don't mean paint
In my 8 trips to Hedo I have never had any problem with the food. I like to eat and there is always something that I like being served. Just keep the beer and the booze flowing and I am fine. You might want to consider improving you wine selection.

I think Gordon has baled out of here too. He last checked in on 2-26. I know he was in Russia but he’s been back for a while. Looks like the experiment is winding down.

I just did a quick scan of the "recent posts" feature. Since March 1, we have had multiple posts from: - myself
- Joe
- Tex
- Anita
- Simon
- Robin Hood
- Bob
- Nola
....and a few drivebys from Hank, Harrybutt, Diana, and MarshmellowMan. That's it! At least it's easy to keep on top of things these days.

Guess we are now a predominately conservative board. No wonder we lost Beeb and Gordon. With no help from Harrybutt for so long they were overpowered.
So much for lively debate.
