I know it's a day early but we will all be busy, so Happy Thanksgiving to those of you out there in the Thursday Night Movie Club Land.
Make sure you all over eat, over drink, but most of all please be careful if you are traveling.
Once again be safe and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you and your families.
Joe & Denice
So what's happening Thursday, I am cooking two birds starting at 4:30AM. One 16 pounder for my working crew who lives at the ranch and then one for us for later in the day. We have a small group coming just my folks, our oldest daughter and her boy friend, and Denice and I. Our youngest daughter and her family will be coming by for dessert around 7:00.

Everyone have a good Thanksgiving. We have the Vietnamese family coming to town and have already had several dinners with the neighbors. Although I argue politics here with you guys, that is about the only place. I am thankful to have made it through the election on speaking terms with all of my family, friends, and neighbors. Wishing all of you a good one.

We are serving Murphy-Goode Savignon Blanc with our dinner Thursday. I will be serving Jack Daniels during the turkey cooking.

My parents provide the turkey and the venue; the extended family brings all the side dishes. With my siblings, spouses, and in-laws, there should be around twenty of us around one long-ass table. As for wine pairings, I'm sure we'll have plenty of Zinfandel, provided by my brother the zinfandel blogger: twitter.com/ZinfandelityHope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for the fact that I haven't spent T-Day with my family for the past 20 years. They are probably thankful for that, too, come to think of it.

You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose. But you can't pick your friend's nose. Unless it's a very good friend.

We are having a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend in bayou country. There is nothing better for the soul than a little Louisiana cooking.
My physician was none too pleased with my lab results pre trip. I am guessing she won't be thinking any better of me now with all the things I have been eating.

Louisiana cranks out good chefs and musicians. Even here in the "Live Music Capital", many of the best musicians are those who have migrated from our neighbor to the east. BTW, we heard a rag band from New Orleans named "Tuba Skinny". If you see them around NOLA, they are well worth the time.
