My company replaced my ancient phone with a Blackberry about 5 or 6 years ago. Now I have to choose a new one. I'm totally lost. Here is the notice I received:
Keep in mind that I do not use this phone much, have never downloaded an app (don't know how) and am generally technologically challenged. Which phone do you think is best for me?
Ladies and Gentlemen,
If you are receiving this message it is because your CIC-issued cellular phone is eligible for an upgrade at this time. We have decided to move away from Blackberry devices at this time. Because of this, each person is being asked to choose between the following four devices (one iPhone and three Android-based devices):
Choice #1: iPhone 5 LTE (16GB model)
Choice #2: Samsung Galaxy S III 4G LTE (16GB model)
Choice #3: HTC EVO 4G LTE
Choice #4: Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE (slide out keyboard as well)
Please visit either a Sprint store or Sprint's website (http://shop.sprint.com) to review the specifications for these phones. If you visit their website and are prompted for a zip-code, use 60606.
PLEASE NOTE: Those of you who have concerns about a phone that can work internationally: Only Choice #1 and Choice #4 above provide this capability. You should note, however, that our plan, by default, does NOT support international usage. When people travel abroad on CIC business, we temporarily switch the plan to one that does.
ALSO NOTE: If you prefer a PHYSICAL keyboard to type on, only the Motorola Q (Choice #4) has one. It is a slide-out keyboard.
If you choose Choice #1 or Choice #2 and wish to upgrade to a model with more than 16GB, then you will be required to pay the additional cost. Please keep in mind, however, that the device will still be the property of CIC. Please see me for information on the additional cost if this is of interest to you.
YOU MUST LET ME KNOW YOUR PREFERENCE BY NOON ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2012. If you do not, then I will choose a device for you.
