42 is a popular domino game in Texas. It is similar to Contract Bridge with bids, points, tricks, trumps etc. It has been played here since the 19th century and is still popular, but I have never heard of it outside of Texas. Anyone elsewhere familiar with 42?

42 is also the answer to the question 'What is the meaning of life, the universe, everything?'

SE Texas still has a lot of French speakers who refer to blackjack as vingt et un. The French there is rough so it comes out as vingtoon.

And thus the famous southeast Texas slogan, "Make sure she's vingt et un before getting the poon".
