This past weekend, Queen Elizabeth marked her Diamond Jubilee.
Was this officially commemorated TNMC-style?

I'll vote for the additional pub crawl until he thought he saw the queen nude in the Thames.

Obviously the Queen cannot make a nude swim of the Thames... BUT if Queen to be Princess Kate could perform this function I say go for it! Otherwise a good old fashion pub crawl would be appropriate.
Beheading is rather banal. Now a good draw and quartering, followed by throwing the entrails over a victim to be burned at the stake would be right in line with the very traditional monarchy.
But I will defer to Simon on these matters.

He'll likely pick something to do with Pippa's Ass.

We had a four day weekend here to celebrate the jubilee with today being made a special Jubilee holiday in addition to Monday which is a holiday anyway.
My Jubilee celebrations consisted of going out of town on Sunday to visit friends for a party, then returning yesterday afternoon and going to a gig in the evening... so no pub crawl but a lot of beer was involved.
Today we went to BBQ at a friend's and watched the celebrations at Buckingham Palace on the TV, then last night's Jubilee concert that took place out the front of the palace that included performances in front of the Queen from the likes of Elton John, Shirley Bassey, Tom Jones, Stevie Wonder, Robbie Williams, Kylie... The highlight for me was Madness performing on the roof of the Palace itself. Even if you care nothing for Madness, or have not even heard of them, the video is worth watching for the incredible 3D projection mapping on the front of the palace. Quite simply stunning :

I wasn't even sure anyone across the pond would have heard of Madness when I posted, so I'm pleased that you have. They broke up in 1986 but got back together in 1992 and tour and play festivals, including their own 'Madstock' festival, with almost their original lineup.

I used to like them -- good to see they're still performing.

I've always loved them. To me they as quintessentially British as red telephone boxes, black cabs, fish and chips... and their brilliance is enduring. Suggs is also a huge and much loved character here who is often seen on TV, which helps to keep the band and the music in the public eye so that whole new generations discover them.

Quite simply stunning : How can the Queen of Britain perform in front of the Queen of Britain?? and did Elton come our with another version of "Candle in the Wind" for EII?

Madness was quite big around here back in the eighties, and still get plenty of airplay on the proper stations. One of the best.
And yes, when I saw Elton on the telly, I thought, "one old Queen deserves another!"

The Queen is a class act. If 10% of the world performed their duties as well as she has performed hers, the world would be a better place. JMHO

The least she could've done at the Diamond Jubilee was to flash her tits.

I don't begrudge a single penny of my taxes going towards the Queen. She is an amazing ambassador for my nation and at the age of 86 is still serving her country selflessly. She provides us with a figurehead, a living link to our history, and nothing makes me prouder to be British than scenes like the ones over the weekend, especially today when she travelled down The Mall in her carriage with all the pageantry befitting the occasion :

The governor of Wisconsin would probably hate those flags. He's anti-Union, Jack.
