Well, the daughter's career is back on the tracks. She is headed back to DC to work for a company called "The History Factory". They specialize in putting together corporate history exhibits. She will start out doing the background research for materials that will go into the displays. Pay is not so hot, for DC, but it is a career path job and not the bill payer that she has had for the past year, ever since her first career job down in Florida evaporated after 3 months there (I have never seen a more poorly managed business than that was, they had built themselves into their own pyramid scheme, relying on new project $$ to pay for completion of old projects. One new project didnt come in and everything came down in a matter of a couple weeks. The IDIOT owners never incorporated so all of their personal assets have since been turned over to cover the bankruptcy). Anyways, she starts work in a couple of weeks. Looks like Mom And Dad Moving Company is back in business AGAIN. I think this is the 6th time in the last 7 springs that we have had the honor of at least helping with a move, if not actually doing the move. At least this time she has a boyfriend to do the heavy lifting, and he wont be following her to DC until the fall when his current job contract runs out.

Good for her and wish her the best. A " bill payer" isn't the worst thing in the world - had a few of those and learned something from each.

Gordon, I'm delighted for your daughter. These are tough times and she's done very well to get herself a career path job. I'm sure you are very proud, and rightfully so.

Congrats to your daughter! Life is tough in Obama's America, and it's nice to see a young go-getter make good.
All the same, I'm happy that I have a puppy instead of an actual human offspring. I don't expect him to ever carry his own weight, and I won't be disappointed when he doesn't.
