100 percent true Joe. The problem is so bad in the town where I live that one of our TV networks made a documentary about it - link below. On Saturday and Sunday mornings the sidewalks on the main street have to be pressure washed to get rid of the blood and vomit before the shoppers arrive. The young people on the town's streets at night drink as much as they possibly can in the bars and clubs, then either find someone to fuck, or failing that get in a fight.
At night during the weekend there is a mobile paramedic unit in a bus parked at one end of the street. They deal with the drunks who have got themselves into too much of a state for their friends to deal with, or patch up their cuts and bruises from fighting. It's called the SOS Bus and is manned by volunteers, one of whom is an old school friend of mine. And believe it or not she loves it!! They also have a couple of mini vans they use to take young people home that are so drunk the taxi drivers won't let them in their cabs.
Here's that link. Welcome to my town :

You sound as though you work for their Tourism Bureau; I'm tempted to book a trip now.

"The SOS Bus saved my life, four or five times!"
And he was bragging! I think I'd limit it to one life-saving to a customer. After that, you're on your own, pal.
