Well me old mates, I finally bleedin' went and gone and done it and started me own blog so I did. Right now though I don't really know what it is yet. I know I intend to add some of the celebrity interviews I did for my now defunct magazine Colchester 101, the first of which I uploaded tonight... my exclusive with the legendary Adamski whose worldwide hit Killer made the then unknown vocalist Seal a household name. I've also got an interview with Stephanie Powers which I need to get round to finishing off and a couple of others of note. Beyond that though I don't really know if I just want it to be just my own personal ramblings and holiday pics, or more of an online version of the magazine, hence the current 'working title' whilst I decide what it is actually going to be. We'll have to see what happens (and of course silly working titles can stick). Anyhow, if you can be bothered, take a look and let me know what you think : www.theotherwayisblogging.blogspot.com

Beyond that though I don't really know if I just want it to be just my own personal ramblings and holiday pics, or more of an online version of the magazine ... My own two scents based on personal experience ... 1. If you are really that torn about the precise theme of the blog, then create two separate sites -- easy enough to do if you're using Blogger. One would be an online version of the magazine and the other would be a personal blog -- random thoughts, photos, etc. One reason for this is from a business/marketing perspective -- it's harder to "sell" a blog that covers multiple themes than it is to "sell" a blog that covers a single theme with multiple topics. 2. Convert the URL to a custom domain if you wind up dedicating the blog to be an online version of your magazine. The yearly cost is nominal and it looks more professional. 3. Enable comments and monitor them so people can provide feedback and have a conversation about each post. A program I use and recommend is Disqus. Good luck!

Simon, I recommend you create a blog based on your Mormon lodger. That should provide you with plenty of material (and your subscribers with plenty of entertainment) for a long time to come.

It would be good to have a professional looking blog for the magazine, and my own for my own stuff. And no reason why I can't publish my interviews on both.

Ah yes, the Mormon Lodger Chronicles!! They seem to have quite a following on Facebook and I get regular requests for updates. I'd love to put them in the wider public domain, but as weird as she is I'm sure she'd be mortally offended if she ever stumbled across them. It's a shame because they really do seem to be a good read, and they write themselves... the incidents and conversations happen exactly as I describe them with no need for me to embellish or exaggerate them for comedic effect.

I'd prefer to devote my efforts to writing the book and the screen play. I think Daniel Craig should play me when we hit the big screen. I need to give some more thought to who should play the fruit loop though.

Well, I decided this blog would be for my own musings, random thoughts, interviews from the magazine, the Mormon Lodger Chronicles etc etc and to do a separate blog for the magazine, as Beeb suggested, and put that on the magazine's URL. I have a web developer putting something more professional than I could produce together for me now and I'll post a link soon. So as far as THIS blog is concerned I'm going to try to keep adding to it... whether that be holiday pictures, duplicates of articles I'll be posting on the magazine's blog, Mormon lodger stuff, and anything else I can think of. Oh, and I've changed the name to parody a currently popular TV show in the UK about the area that I live called 'The Only Way is Essex' So, there are a few more entries now since I last posted on here about it the other week, including a YouTube video that contains an interview with me. If your can't be arsed to sit through the whole video jump to 11:09. theotherwayisblogging.blogspot.co.uk/

Well her end is near anyway... she heads back to the US of A in early July. And I have to say that I really won't miss her particular brand of bone idleness. She's an attractive 30 year old woman from a religion that permits men to have multiple wives, yet she can't find one to take her on as just one of his wives.
Friendly? Yes. Harmless? No doubt. Glad to see the back of her? Damn right!!

I'd never heard the term before I met her, it was only when a couple of concerned friends told me they strongly suspected she was BPD that I started reading everything I could on the subject and came across gaslighting and the penny dropped about a few things!! It's a VERY effective weapon. Usually she did it very slyly but sometimes she was audacious... making up something that I knew for a fact I had not done and had not happened and going on at me until I doubted my own memory and sanity.
