As it is the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic on Sunday I thought I'd share something topical. This, as some may recall from my posts about it over the years on this here fine message board, is my favourite restaurant in London, Texas Embassy just off Trafalgar Square. I met Ozmale here when he was in the UK a few years ago, and Tex also spent an evening there when he was in this neck of the woods : And this is the building almost exactly 100 years ago when it was known as Oceanic House and was home to the offices of the White Star Line, owners of Titanic. It was here that people came to find out news of their relatives and loved ones : These days it is home to the best Mexican food and frozen margaritas in London.

Fun restaurant. Seems like they said the actual Texas Embassy was around the corner. I don't know if I would want to go on a Titanic commemorative cruise - tempting the fates.
