This year on St. Patrick's Day, I went to an Irish Whiskey tasting; here's part of the menu. Attachments:

If a "tasting" involves drinking Irish whiskey by the liter, I wouldn't want to be hanging around Union Square if they really decided to twist off.

If only! The company reps were pretty stingy on what was being poured, especially on the more expensive ones -- you couldn't get a second pour on those.

In that case St Patrick would have to perform a miracle to pay for a good buzz. I'd guess it was some smooth stuff.

Beeb I love these tasting you do. I know I could go to the city and get some of these but it's a 65 mile drive there then I got to get home. All that we have hear are more and more fucking wine tasting.

This particular liquor store does an Irish Whiskey tasting every year around St. Patrick's Day. The one this year was packed because St. Patrick's Day fell on a Saturday.

I'd guess it was some smooth stuff. My first two sips were those high-end Jameson and Midleton you see on page 2 of the tasting menu; that Midleton was *particularly* smooth, but out of my price range. Unfortunately, the guy they had pouring wasn't very knowledgeable about the stuff -- as a result, I had to leave it out of my blog post.
