To me, Ann-Margret is mostly a historical figure (although we share an alma mater in Northwestern University). But a recent episode of "Mad Men" made me aware of an AWESOME performance of hers from Bye Bye Birdie.
This performance is just freaking awesome! I had to share. What do youse guys think of it? And did anyone see the Mad Men "homage" to this scene?
Bonus points if you remember her appearance on The Flintstones as "Ann Marg-Rock."

I always thought and still do think she is a very pretty lady. However, I never thought that she was a good actress. Most of her movies just plan stunk.
Yes I rememebr here on the Flintstones

While I wouldn't go so far as to call it one of "her" movies, she was in "52 Pick-Up" which was awesome.

***NSFW (language)***
She put on weight for this role but still looks great nonetheless.
Classic Jack: "I'm taken! BY ME!"
Perfect timing for Valentine's Day

"Don't you give me an ultimatum! You give me an ultimatum, and we're THROUGH!!"
Okay, that wasn't from this scene. It was from "Cheers." But it reminded me of it.

Just to be complete, here is the "Mad Men" version of this song. They were creating an ad for Pepsi to sell their new diet cola, called Patio, and used a parody of the Bye Bye Birdie song. The clients, however, found it lacking.....
