A neighbor has a completely unsecured wireless router, a linksys one, that I just logged on and could have completely taken over if I wanted. Amazing folks are so careless. I think I'll try to find out who this is and offer them a suggestion or two.

Just log into it and give it a password. He won't be able to access it. When he decides it's a piece of shit and tosses it into the dumpster in the alley, you can retrieve it. Use it, or sell it on Craigslist. He learns a valuable lesson, and you make a buck. Everybody wins!!

I was in a hotel (big surprise there...lol) and I like to see who has what on the network... sometimes you can get some free music or movies, if they have shit stored in a share drive. I came across a DOCTOR that had the root of his C: drive shared for all the world to see. I started poking around and he had tons of patient records and other things that should be PRIVATE. So I took ALL his files that should be private and put them in a folder named "Your a dumbass" in the folder I left a README note letting him know how I found it and instructions on how to fix his shit... I wonder if he ever fixed any of it... I hope so.

To Jake- Did that once while visiting our daughters apartment. Though by once I mean in one sitting. I secured several networks. I figured if they were smart they would read the manual and figure out how to do a hard reset then secure it properly.
