The phone call seemed no different than any other, but with a twist - "Hello! We would like to work out a payment plan for your credit line."
Odd. I have no credit line with you!
"Well, we just took over a bank down your way so maybe it was with them."
Nope. No credit line with them either!
"Well, we still want our $300 dollars!"
I quickly download my credit report and see I've been "DINGED!" by this bank! Fuckers just now call me, and I've already had my credit fucked! Well that just SUCKS!!
The collectors start calling and calling and calling! "IT IS NOT MY ACCOUNT!" I yell back at them, but to no avail.
So I file suit. Gonna sue the fuckers!!
But being the nice guy I am, I talk with the bank, provide them an affidavit swearing this is not my account with all the information I know, but they blow me off!
Did I say the account was originally opened in 1989? They claimed I owed $300 dollars??
I told them, "I'm a lawyer and know this game. Are you really telling me you're trying to extort this money from me?"
Of course they were!
The case just settled in my favor for over $11,000. What with attorney's fees, collection agency fees, etc etc, I'm sure they spent over $20,000 trying to get $300 dollars from me.
FUCK YOU YOU BIG FUCKING ASS-FUCKING BANK!! I FUCKED YOU BACK RIGHT UP THE ASS!!!!

The banks are so fucked up.
I have done business with the same bank since 1977. I owe them nothing. My credit is excellent. I have several partnerships which own mineral rights. A couple are big enough to merit their own account but one deals with less than $3000 a year and I have run the checks through my account since the mid 1980s.
In my deposit a couple months back, I had a royalty check for about $100 made out to the partnership and endorsed. The teller acted like she had seen a ghost and told me she couldn't deposit the check unless the partnership set up a different account (more fees). I told her that I was a general partner and that the other general partner was willing to OK the transaction in writing. Couldn't do it - against the rules. I got pissed and told her that the bank had accepted $3,000,000,000 in bailout funds and maybe they had bigger fish to fry.
My solution was to deposit the partnership checks at a different branch of the same bank, where they don't give a shit.

Way to go Bob. Fuck those bastards deep. Joe I have the name and address of the "fraud" department lady that I sent all the info too! She was the one who finally approved the bank going after me! I plan to send her a "thank you!" card each year for the next several years, with a reminder that someone at that bank might want to make some ch-ch-changes in how they do business. No doubt they won't listen, but I'll have fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Send the bitch a postcard from Hedo with a big smooch mark by putting lipstick on your penis and pressing it on the postcard.

Bob, you should tell 60 minutes or someone about this so more people can stick to them. Most people would have just paid it.

Make a video describing the experience using whatever props and witnesses you need. Then upload it to YouTube... we'll make it go viral!!

I am curious as to how long this suit took before the settlement. Was it a settlement or a court ordered payday?
