Wife wanted to watch Clooney's Ides of March. HOLY CRAP what a steaming pile. With Paul Giamatti and Philip Seymour Hoffman, I was hoping for a lot of support for Clooney to build off of. Every single actor was doing the bare minimum needed to fulfill their contract and get off the set as soon as possible. Even as director Clooney must have realized what a bomb this was, as the movie seems to end 5 minutes too soon. The closing credits started to scroll and we just looked at each other asking the same question.. "That was it??" If Marisa Tomeii had only flashed something I would have had something to take away from this atrocity, but not even cleavage.

We seen it sometime back and agree. Clooney movies are either real good or the totally suck. This one made the suck section.

I like Clooney best in zany comedies. He turns into a sort of later-day Cary Grant. "O Brother Where Are Thou" and "Intolerable Cruelty" were both brilliant.

I agree on "Ides" -- saw this a couple months ago in the theaters and just shook my head...but he *did* make up for it with "The Descendants" , which I highly recommend.
