This week in my movie class, we saw the drama " The Artist", starring a couple of French actors you probably don't know, but featuring some names/faces familiar to American audiences (John Goodman, Penelope Ann Miller and James Cromwell). For the review, please click here.

I'm a little late with bumping this, but just wanted to mention that I'm quite pleased this won "Best Picture" at the Golden Globe Awards last weekend. This was, by far, the best film I saw in my movie class last semester.

I have to find some time for this movie since I have an affection towards the golden era of Hollywood. Love those classics on Turner Movie Channel.

Saw it last night. It was fun. And it certainly holds your attention. I thought the two leads did an awesome job.
I enjoyed seeing actors from TV shows I watch pop up in bit parts. Andy Milder from Weeds and Joel Murray from Shameless were a couple of them.
We saw Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy on Friday night so after this weekend I am ready for some crude Coen Brothers humor.

An excellent flick, especially considering that one of the main characters speaks two words and the other nothing at all. I read that the Jack Russell terrier in the movie is retiring, being the same Jack Russell terrier in Water for Elephants, another good flick.
