Was it wrong of me to be rooting for the monkey's at the end of this cinematic masterpiece?
A thought provoking plot and stunning CGI work made this the best movie of my summer so far. And it's going to be a tough one to beat. Basically, scientist James Franco is testing his new cure for Alzheimers on a bunch of lab chimps when, wouldn't ya just know it, it all goes horribly wrong and he ends up smuggling a new born chimp home after its mother, who has been tested with the drug, along with all her lab friends, have been killed. He names the baby chimp Caesar and brings it up as one of the family, at the same time administering the drug to his father whose own Alzheimers has rendered him incapable of any kind of quality of life. Father makes an immediate and full recovery, and baby Caesar begins to show remarkable powers of intelligence, reasoning and consciousness. And then it... err... all goes horribly wrong again and we follow Caesar on his path to his destiny of leading the simian revolution that will untimely overthrow mankind.
My only gripe? I'd like the movie to have been another 30 minutes longer and told us more of what the apes did next after they broke out of the labs and zoos. However, the ending sets the sequel up beautifully, and I for one cannot wait!!

No not at all.
Denice and I watch the movie this evening and we both thought it was a very good flick.
A little turn on the "Plant of the Apes" movies. Look like they may be going in a different direction.
I agree on both statements.
