Apartment sizes in NYC are legendarily small, but this is ridiculous!
With a 500 sq ft 1 BR I'm renting in Brooklyn, I used to complain that *my* apartment was small.
No more.
Somehow, this woman has managed to live in an apartment on the tony Upper West Side of Manhattan that's only 90 sq ft!

I like it! Except for the lack of book space, I could live like that.
I always say, in a big, crowded city, you live in your neighborhood as much as you live in your apartment. You don't need a big living room, dining room, veranda, or yard when you have coffee shops, diners, sidewalk cafes, and city parks within a couple blocks of you.

Very true, Jake -- what you describe is exactly the way I've lived here in BK.
As an aside, one thing that makes my apartment feel a bit less tiny (at least during these summer months) is the fact that I have a 200 sq ft terrace right off my living room. First time in my life I've ever had any outdoor space in an apartment I've rented.

I have a closet that's bigger than that that I would be willing to rent out. It even has an electric outlet in it...NO HOTPLATES PLEASE.

Bastard.
FWIW (and perhaps nothing at this point ) , when I moved into my current apartment over a year ago, I never had the gas turned on for my stove. The reason is that I use my oven for extra storage space since my closet is too small.

Hell I could divide my garage into 15 of those apartments and rent them out.

Some people have actually done something like that here. Back when I had a car, I rented parking space off street. The landlord eventually evicted all of us so he could build on that space -- he wound up constructing a building with a bunch of small apartment on that lot.

Reminds me of a great quote from Crocodile Dundee: "Imagine seven million people all wanting to live together. Yeah, New York must be the friendliest place on earth."

This looks like hot bunking in the navy.

Speaking of "hot bunking", do you think she ever brings a guy (gal?) back to her place for an overnight guest?

I wondered that myself. Odds are, her paramour probably has a larger place.

If you had to fart, it would be difficult to let it pass unknown. Still better than getting laid in the bed of a pickup.

It seems to me that if you tried to screw in that bed, you'd have to choose your position carefully.
E.g., Spooning would probably be the only option. Missionary position, your ass would constantly be hitting the ceiling. (Reverse) Cowgirl is simply out of the question.

Our room on the ship last week was bigger than that. It was at something like 130 sq ft.

Yeah but you had TWO people in your room (at least).

Better ask Tex before bringing Chico into this

And the gay neighbors have absolutely no place here, either.

Chico could handle the 90 sq ft but if you use his name of image commercially, there are royalties to be discussed. Chico is worn out today. My 6 & 7 year old niece and nephew have been staying with us this week and while Chico likes them, they are working him pretty hard.

Maybe you could suggest something. As a matter of fact, you DO suggest something! To me you suggest a baboon! I'm sorry I said that. It isn't fair to the rest of the baboons.
