Glad you enjoyed your tasting Beep. I never did acquire a taste for Scotch. I know some people and that is all that they drink.

Nice to do a nationwide pub crawl without having to leave the comfort of the pub your in. The lowlands of Scotland are definitely NOT near Ireland. Its near England... unless Murdoch has gone on to his next project already and caught England unawares watching a newspaper scandle

Gordon, re: your Spoiler:
Yeah, I noticed that after the fact once I looked at the map. For some reason, however, the instructor said the "near Ireland" comment, so I left it in. Given his otherwise good knowledge of the subject, you'd think he'd know better; hopefully, someone will correct him at some point, if it hasn't happened already. OTOH, maybe he just misspoke, but he's given this lecture a few times, so you'd think he'd have it all straightened out by now.

FWIW, this was posted to the "Drinking Made Easy" site last week. After much consternation and many sleepless nights, I decided to correct the "Ireland" reference to "England" since Gordon rightly raised it as an issue. www.drinkingmadeeasy.com/2011/07/scotch-by-region.html

Im looking forward to hearing about the ethnic cleansing campaign associated with this "correction" in the news in the next few days.

We're trying to play it down for now -- the global markets have been in enough trouble lately as it is.

That would cause a lot of people's plans to be scotched.
