. . . . how some nights sitting in front of the computer strange thoughts or memories pop into your head.
I was on a blind date once back at the lady's apartment when while lying on a couch she relayed how when she was in high school she often went with several guy friends to the local movie drive in to watch porno films and eat popcorn and drink beer.
I'm not sure, but I think she was after something. It was the thought of all those guys that turned me off.
Bummer. Missed opportunity.
<sigh>

Dating a blind person is a good way to avoid the social stigma resulting from the other person running away screaming when they first set eyes on you.

Why is it that guys always want to know how many men the women they are dating have slept with? That always bugged me. Why did they want to know?

Define "always". I never wanted to know -- whatever the number, I would find it intimidating.

It was just the number, it was the type, also. Clearly, if *I* was being considered as a potential candidate, this woman had serious quality control issues.

I never wanted to know. Sounds like Bob didn't, either.
But I do know one thing: the more previous partners she had, the better she could appreciate finally being with the BEST.

They're the best ones in bed, generally speaking.

Anita, that's a good question but I don't have a solid answer. Perhaps it has to do with how serious the guy feels the woman is taking him. If a woman has sex freely without reserve, the guy might have difficulty measuring the depth of the relationship between them. I'm not sure. Do women care about past relationships or prior sex of their guys? My guess is they are at least curious. I'm so out of the loop from being in the same relationship for so long, I can't tell the sexual orientation of Godzilla or Cary Grant.

It is typically a question I would get if our encounter was more than a one night stand. More often when in a longer relationship. I dated a long time before I met and hooked up with Art. I was 36 when we met. On top of that I’m from the ‘free love’ era when the pill was readily available, so I had plenty of past liaisons….and enjoyed it. I was honest when asked and was often surprised at the reaction….usually disbelief but also horror. I would then ask them if they preferred to be chosen from 5 experiences or 200. What would make them feel more special? I never cared or was curious about the number of past sexual partners someone I was dating or was going with had. I figured lots just like me. It was none of my business about his past love affairs.

And yet if a single guy has had a very limited amount of fun in his life, it's hardly a compliment to him and perhaps viewed as a bit odd (IMHO). It's simply a double standard and I think it's not ch-ch-changing anytime soon.
