It's always fun discovering new spirits (either new to the market or just new to me, personally).
Table 4, the Brooklyn Moonshine: I found out they are not far from where I live; they have an open house one or two Saturdays every month and actually sell their product directly from their distillery during those times. They gave me their Web site and contact info, so I may wind up dropping by there one of these days.
As far as the Chicago liqueurs are concerned, I did try them and found them to be way too sweet to sip on their own (at least for my taste, your mileage may vary). However, they did have an interesting flavor and would probably mix well with a number of cocktails -- unfortunately, they were not serving them in cocktails at the tasting, you could only try them on their own.

A friend of mine had some home made moonshine from Idaho about 30 years ago. This was the real shit. When you put the shot glass uop tio you mouth to drink it ,it burnt you eyes, melted your nose and destroyed your mouth and stomach. Beside that it was pretty good shit. 1 shot was enough.

I tried a shot of moonshine last year -- so high in alcohol that it almost evaporated the second it hit your tongue.

That organic gin sounds interesting.

Yeah, I know -- I wanted to try that one, too, but even I can only hold so much given the generous pours during these tastings.
