Keep warm guys. Out here spring has arrived. High 60's low 70's. The trees and vines are moving already about 3 weeks a head of normal. Going to be a log spring here.

It's supposed to be in the 60's here by Friday -- must remember to send a nice Thank You note to that groundhog.

Don't bother. I'm sure the groundhog was killed in the blizzard.

HOLY CRAP ITS 57 degrees outside and still going up, old record for the day way 47, old record for any day in February 55. Shit we have gone from almost 80 degrees to rain, more rain, and even more rain to come and from cold to getting colder.

10 days ago I chopped ice for 4 hours. Here I am on "break", it was exactly 40 degrees outside. A welcome temperature not felt since early December.

We have some snow on the hills around here but not as much as the thought it would be. It's is supposed to drop into the mid twenties tonight and it is around 40 here now with a rather strong cold north wind.

No not now they are still dormant. At this stage they will take down to about 12 degrees before it kills the wood. Give it until about the 15th of March when they start moving then I have to watch for anything below 32 degrees.

Crazy fucking weather. Yesterday it was mid 50's and clear and beautiful. I had to take my mom to San Francisco for her eye appointment (she has glacouma) and it was even nicer down there. Low 60,s, clear no wind, perfect day to be in the city.
Today it here it's low 40,s again and raining. Where the fuck is spring?

For me, low 40's and raining *would* be (early) spring! At least today it was nice -- sunny and near 50.
