Just got back from trying to make my bank deposit for the day. There was an armed robbery only 15 minutes before I arrived so the building was cordoned off with police all over the place. Fortunately no shots were fired and no one was hurt.
I wonder if I can get a credit for the two days of interest I will lose since I cannot make the deposit until Friday now

The alarms sounded when the agent discovered that roll of quarters hidden in his crotch.

I am saddened to think that there might be people in that situation.

I am saddened to think that he considers all of our hard work as nonsense.

Years ago the bank across the street was robbed by a guy in disguise. It ended with a shoot out on the Garden State Parkway.
Until recently, because of that, the bank had a sign requiring that hats and sunglasses be removed and you had to be electronically buzzed into the lobby, after they gave you the once over glance.

I lived and worked in Southern Illinois during the 80's. I worked out in the middle of no where on a cattle farm, frequently out checking fence on horseback or an old jeep. We had plenty of snakes and wild dogs so we frequently carried a side-arm.
We didn't worry too much about running in town to the farm store, gas station, or hardware store with it. However, the bank didn't appreciate it when I walked in with my pistol holstered on my hip. The teller looked up at me and said "We'd rather y'all not wear that in here." I went back to the truck and stuck it under the seat and returned. She completed by transaction without an extra word. Funny thing is that I never locked the truck, no one ever did around there. There was also an AR-15 behind the seat. Good ole days.
