Some big time college football has been played the last couple of weeks.
I had tickets last night for one of the best games I have attended in ages. We drove up to Gainesville last night to watch LSU take on Florida.
The Tigers pulled out the win with 6 seconds left. And we saw it all unfold right in front of us in the south end zone. It was a great sight to see all the surrounding Gator fans go dead silent when the TD catch was made.

Love it! I have some REALLY obnoxious Gator fan friends, and I have become an"anyone but the Gators" person.

Wisconsin has its third game of the season with 70 or more points.. on to the Rose Bowl (the way they are playing they would probably be national champs if there was a real playoff system in Div I football)

My LSU Tigers sucked the mega one on Saturday so sadly cede the top one loss spot to Stanford or Wisconsin. Either of those two would be worthy opponents in the BCS title game if Oregon or Auburn stumble this week.

<sigh> Wisconsin vs TCU.. respect mon to the Horned Toads... great team, great game The Big Ten led with their chin today. It was brutal out there. And I don't think Ohio State is going to do much better on Tuesday. We need wareagle back this week to talk a little smack before the BCS Championship.

Aint that the truth. At least the Badgers were respectable.
It probably wont get any better on Tuesday, Ohio State has never beaten an SEC team in the postseason.
Biggest loser on the field yesterday was Michigan State, but off the field, has to be Rich Rodriguez, Coach of U of Michigan. He is 15-22 in his three seasons, 1-11 against ranked teams, not to mention all the NCAA violations. His contract buyout dropped from $4 million to $2.5 as of yesterday, and considering the threats from alumni, that is cheap compared to the potential loss from that source of funds. Its not "if, its "when" AND "what then".

Is it just me, or does the way the BCS has stretched out the bowl season for the big games really diluted the excitement about them... I am sure that there is probably interest for the fans of those involved in the Cotton and the National Championship Bowls, but I have all but forgotten that those games have yet to be played.

It is like watching paint dry. My Tigers play in the Cotton Bowl tonight but I feel like the season ended weeks ago. Let's go back to when all the big bowl games are played on New Years Day and the BCS the following night.

Good job LSU Tigers. Congrats to NOLA. An excellent win. I had reservations about our ability to win this one. And I certainly did not expect such a definitive win. Now I am torn as to whether we should keep Les as coach or send him to Michigan with our blessing.
