Well, the year is off to a great start for the Lions. With Minnesota losing on Thursday evening, they are, technically, not in last place for the first time since December 2007. That should last until about 3:30pm Sunday.
Their multigenerational plan to make it to the Super Bowl by the time Super Bowl numbers start with the letter "L" is coming to fruition.

The good news: a labor dispute could result in a lockout next year causing a complete cancellation of the entire 2011 NFL season
The bad news: they are looking to add 2 games to the schedule, so it would be 18 weeks of pain rather than only 16

I have heard about that expanded schedule plans.. makes me feel very old to be able to remember that the season used to be 12 games and everything was wrapped up in December
